The victims were brought to the Emergency Hospital of St. Elizabeth where
they were treated. Ian and James stayed in the hospital for a month but John had
died due to his injuries.
The provincial prosecutor charged Esrael and the Regional Trial Court
found John Marquez guilty of the crime of Reckless Imprudence Resulting to
Homicide with Double Serious Physical Injuries and Damage to Property
punishable under Article 365 in connection to Article 263 of the Revised Penal
Code. (July 31, 2006 Decision).
