When applyinga self-adhesive tape afterjointingor
terminatingof XLPE cable,stretchit properlyabout
1.2 timesas long as the originalone. lf it is over-
stretchedcrack may occur on the tape in the long
run and if not stretchedproperly,tape will not be
adhered betweeneach laver.

6. Water proof treatment for out-door termination


For out-doorterminationwater prooftreatmentis
necessaryto avoid the water penertratinginto the
cableend and specialcare must be takento apply
taoesand terminals.lt is desirableto use a
compressionor soldertype terminal.
