Hot Runner Technology
The Hot runner system is the most efficient way to optimize production and improve the quality of a molded
part. The system is an extension of the injection press barrel, working as a distributor of flow to each of the
cavities. Through distribution runners constantly warm, it is possible to keep the material at the same tempera-
ture of injection press, free of variations without cold runners.
HOT SPRUE
WHY USE HOT RUNNER SYSTEMS?
The use of hot runner systems can offer several advantages when compared to conventional
cold runner applications such as:
HOT
* Cost reduction;
* Flexibility in design;
* Reduction of cycle time;
* Improved quality of the molded parts;
* Increased efficiency of the equipment.
PREWIRED SYSTEMS
Prewired systems are supplied as a fully assembled and thermally tested system. This system allows the cus-
tomer to do their own Hot Half plate work. We supply the designs. The system comes with the nozzles thread-
ed into the manifold. The manifold and nozzles are then wired through a wiring arm that is attached to the
manifold, into an electrical box. With this package you will receive a locating ring and plaques.
Prewired valve gate systems come fully assembled, wired, and plumbed for
the valve gates. Each system is thermally tested and the valve gates are
tested. This option allows the customer to avoid assembly of the valve gate
system but they can do their own plate work.
Hot Half systems are a customers best option. These systems come fully assembled wired, plumbed and
tested. The system is supplied with guide pins, water lines for fast easy assembly with the mold.

The Extended Point gate-Open nut tip is designed for gating directly onto the part. This
option is used when there is a need to gate next to a part feature or into a recessed
area on the part. This style tip will leave a minimum vestige on the part, without leaving
a nozzle tip witness mark. This style tip allows for good control of the gate area, vestige
and appearance.
Standard Extended
The thru hole-open nut tip is designed for gating directly onto the part. This style tip will
leave a minimum vestige on the part, without leaving a nozzle tip witness mark. This
style tip is mostly used when molding heavy filled resins or when molding recycled res-
ins that will plug up standard Point gates.
Thru Hole
The Sprue tip is typically used when gating into a cold runner system. This tip style will
leave a small peg attached to the runner. The tip is sometimes used to gate directly onto
a part when it is acceptable to remove the peg after molding. This tip style will give you
the max flow and minimal sheer of the resin.
Sprue Gate
The Ring Gate -Bush nut tip is designed for gating directly onto the part. This style tip
will leave a minimum vestige on the part, and a nozzle tip witness mark. This style tip al-
lows the customer to change the tip if the gate area gets damaged in the mold. You can
also machine the end of the tip with a gate dimple.

Specially developed tip for aesthetic parts, allowing small gates and long-life
for the cavity and valve pins. This Valve Point gate tip is indicated to perform
the injection directly into the part on flat surfaces, leaving an imperceptible vestige.
Designed to ensure the minimal heat transfer to the part surface allowing an accurate
closing of the valve pin along with an optimum flow condition.
Micro Point
This Valve Point gate tip is indicated when injecting directly into the part on flat surfaces,
allows for an accurate closing of the valve pin and optimum flow condition.
Point Gate
This Valve Point gate tip is used when injecting directly into the part on flat surfaces,
