MOTIVATION
In management,motivation is defined as the forces that acting upon or
within a person that cause the person to expand behave in certain ways.This
psychological process have its purpose and direction to behavior of people.To
accomplish some goal,the motivation as the management process can influence
people’s behavior.
In order to motivate our employees,Breadlicious applying the Maslow’s
Hierarchy of Needs theory.We believe that this hierarchy can help us achieve our
goal in organization while gain our employees satisfaction through the
motivation.The needs of employees are our top prority.According to Maslow,every
person have their own various needs and try to satisfy these needs using a priority
system or hierarchy.Maslow identifies five distinct levels of an individual’s needs.This
needs are believed can influence the individual’s desire to perform better and
behave in certain way.These five fundamentals of needs starting with physiological
needs,safety needs,social needs,esteem needs and self-actualization needs.
Physiological Needs
Physiological needs are the most fundamental of human needs which is
food,water,air and shelter.Human needs all this to concerns biological maintenance
and as basic survival in their live.In Breadlicious,our company are dedicated to fulfill
our employees needs so that they feel satisfied working in our company.We are
concern about create good environment work and offers basic salary and wage suit
with our employees skills.
Security Needs
Second level in the hierarchy of needs is security needs.This needs emphasize to
have a safe physical and emotional environment.Security needs protection against
threats or unsafe working environment such as job security and predictable work
environment.In organization,the employees get some adavantages from their
company in security needs.In order to ensure the safety of our
employees,Breadlicious installing CCTV for each section of department so that there
are no safety issues occurs among the employees or outside people such as
threats,robbery and physical or sexual harassment.Besides we are concern our
employees emotion safety too.We are always monitor managers to ensure the
subordinates get fair treatment from their managers and among managers too.
Social Needs
Social needs was defined as the needs for friendship,love and feeling of
belonging.Individuals are value their work as an opportunity to find and establish
friendly interpersonal relationships.When social need are fullfiled,the employees will
feel as part of the team of work.So,as awereness to the social needs,Breadlicious
are ready to create harmony condition among our employees so that they can make
a good connection among each other.We have organized our staff the events such
as company Iftar during Ramadhan,Hari Raya Open House,Company Annivessary
Celebration and more in order to create good social among them.
Esteem Needs
Personal feelings of achievement and self-worth with recognition,respect and
prestige are the definition of esteem needs.The example of esteem needs is job
titles,status,reward and recognition.Breadlicious provide performance linked reward
system that involved in rewarding our employees according to their results and
achievement in performance,as individuals or as a part of group.We use this system
to encourage our employees to work hard and also to show their ability in
performance.
Self-Actualization Needs
Self-Actualization needs is the needs of individuals for self-fulfillment and the
opportunity to reach the potential.People who realize their potential and self-
development accept themselves and use their abilities to do the best in
jobs.Breadlicious are open to give opportunity take the senior roles within the group
by spotting employess skills with leadership potential.
