My Goals as A Future Teacher
As a future educator, it is very important to be able to determine where you
came from and what you are striving for. Many people come to college not aware of
what they want to do or of their future, but I have always known. As an educator it is
very important to know what you are aiming for and what got you to where you are. I
have known basically my entire life that I wanted to be a teacher for many different
reasons. I have been influenced in many ways during my eighteen years so far and
many of them have pushed me to follow the path of teaching. I have many goals I
would like to accomplish as a teacher and I will try to create a legacy while teaching my
future students. I have always wanted to be a teacher, even as challenges may occur in
my way of my study.
My legacy will be that I always cared for my students and helped them achieve
their goals and find their passions. I know that knowledge is the greatest gift of all, so I
would like to help my students achieve that. I want my students to see how much I
love my job and that I truly enjoy being there with them. I want my students to want
the passion that I have for my job for something they will have in the future. I want to
show them that I truly care and that I am there for them. Many children may not have
a good support system at home and I want to be there for them. I want my students to
know that I believe in them and that they can accomplish anything they put their mind
to show the skills and abilities along their learnings.
I completely agree with this because I feel that by using experimentalism in the
classroom you are teaching your students that is okay to need to be hands on learner. I
think using examples, going on trips and even bringing in items to show students will
help them learn. This combines the two philosophies of Idealism and Experimentalism.
In conclusion, I have high hopes as a future educator. I have come a long was in my
schooling and I have had my ups and my downs and I would like to show others that
not just one thing defines you. I know sometimes it feels like there’s no one around
that cares enough to help, but I will always be there for my students. It is a huge
commitment to become a teacher and I cannot wait to take on the commitment to help
others. Many people have played a part in my decision to become a teacher and I am
so grateful for them I cannot wait to start my career to become an educator and to use
my profession and be the best teacher that I can be.
