King Kong 2005 is a adventurous film, directed by Peter Jackson. It was set in
New Zealand and USA. The main stars of the movie are Naomi watts and Adrien
Brody.
The film tells the story of a group of explorers and filmmakers who go to an island
because they heard strange stories about it. They find a giant gorilla besides other
strange animals. They capture king kong with the help of the actress Ann
Darrow(Nami Watts) and take him to New York. However, they didn’t know the
strength of the 8 metre tall gorilla that falls in love Ann Darrow. The film explores
important themes such as the power of love and the value of sacrifice.
Kong is portrayed as a tragic and sympathetic animal and lives a very solitary and
difficult existence, constantly being attacked by the ferocious giant creatures that
live on Skull Island. He rarely attacks unless provoked, and is capable of causing
mass destruction due to his large size and massive strength, causing humans to fear
or attack him. Kong has a soft spot for women and will do anything to protect a
woman (such as Ann Darrow) that he likes, whether it be battling against monsters
or battling military forces.
Kong demonstrates at least semi-sapience in all of his film appearances. He
frequently utilizes environmental objects as weapons while fighting, and learns
over the course of a battle. In the 2005 film, Kong is able to communicate by using
sign language, shown when he repeated the sign for "beautiful" to Ann, who had
spoken it to him earlier, showing just how intelligent Kong really is.King Kong is a
warning against mankind’s desire to exploit Nature for personal gain. He is
personified as the unbridled force of nature, which when belittled by men,
unleashes a fury that has severe repercussions. Ironically though in every Kong
movie till date — there have been 8 so far — the ‘beast’ exudes more empathy
than other ‘human’ beings.I find this film very exciting and interesting. It contains
great acting and directing. I love the theme of beauty tames the beast and he falls in
love with her to the extent of giving up his own life to save her! The theme never
grows old. Kong turns out to be more humane and humans turn out to be the beast!
