NOTIFICATION ON SELECTION FOR FOREIGN POSTINGS AS JIBO (YEAR: 2023)

(Please read all the instructions carefully before applying for the position.)

Applications are invited from eligible and willing officers (Generalist Cadre) in the grade of
JMGS-I, MMGS-II and MMGS-III for selection as Junior India Based Officer (JIBO), for
posting at foreign offices of the Bank and its Foreign Subsidiaries / Affiliates: -

2. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

A. Age:

Not less than 25 Years and not more than 40 Years as on 31st March 2023.

B. Work Experience & Professional Qualification:

i. The officer should have completed 4 years of confirmed service (in officer
cadre) in the Bank as on 31st March 2023 (excluding probation period).

ii. The official should have worked in rural / semi urban area for at least two (2)
years as on the date of submission of application.

iii. Officers who have not completed any mandatory stipulations in their
appointment letters e.g. length of service in a circle/area/Business unit will not
be eligible.

iv. The official must have minimum experience of one (1) year in any one of the
following areas during the current and last two assignments or during the
immediately preceding six (6) years as on the date of submission of
application:

(a) Credit Management


(b) International Banking
(c) Treasury Operations
(d) Branch Operations
(e) Risk Management
(f) Investment Management

v. Officials having experience in more than one area may be given preference at
the time of selection.

vi. Officials possessing professional / technical qualifications and knowledge of


foreign languages (other than English) may be given preference at the time of
selection.
C. Service Record:

i. CDS grades considered for selection will be best 03 out of last 04 years’
grades. CDS grades in any of the best 03 years should not be less than AA.

ii. Officials against whom disciplinary action has been contemplated /pending/
initiated will not be eligible.

iii. Further, officials who have been awarded penalty (minor or major) and whose
rigor period is not over and officials whose name appears in List of Officers
of Doubtful Integrity (LODI) will also not be eligible.

iv. Cut-off date for this would be the date of submission of application. However,
DPD/ Vigilance will also be obtained before their reliving for foreign postings
and in case of any pending DPD/ Vigilance case against the selected official
at that time, the foreign posting of the official will stand cancelled.

D. Placement Norms:

i. Should have fulfilled the extant placement norms/ mandatory assignments


for next promotion as on 31st March of the year of selection i.e. 31st March,
2023. Officers not meeting the criteria but given exemption will not be eligible.

ii. Officials should be willing to submit an undertaking for posting as per Bank’s
administrative requirements and that they will be considered for next
promotion only after completion of the requisite mandatory assignment as per
the promotion policy/ guidelines issued by the Bank from time to time.

iii. Officials who have received out-of-turn ICT on spouse/ compassionate


grounds and have not completed continuous stay at the transferee Circle for
at least 5 Years will not be eligible for the selection process.

iv. Officials allowed overstay at a centre, involving deviation of extant guidelines


of 5-year centre-stay policy on extreme compassionate/ medical ground/
care-giver ground, etc., will not be eligible for the selection process.

v. Further, ICT applications under pipeline, if any, shall stand cancelled for
selected candidates. However, the officers can apply for ICT once again,
upon repatriation from their respective foreign assignments. Their seniority
will be reckoned from the date of fresh application (post foreign posting) only.

E. Cooling Period:

Officers, posted abroad earlier, should have served for a minimum period of 5 years
from the date of reporting in India as on 31st March 2023 after repatriation from
prior foreign posting.
F. Appearance in Interviews for Foreign Posting:

Officers who have already appeared in interviews (including prior selection) for
foreign posting three (3) times earlier will not be eligible. Officers who have declined
a foreign posting earlier will not be eligible.

G. Non acceptance of Foreign Posting:

In case any officer declines the foreign postings after publication of results,
disciplinary action would be initiated against such official.

3. APPLICATION PROCESS:

i. The Bio-data should be submitted by login through a portal, as per the link provided
below, on or before the last date for submission of application (i.e. 25th January
2023). Officers, who are eligible and willing, are requested to submit their
applications at the earliest and should not wait till last day for submission. The last
date would not be extended for any reason.

ii. Before applying for the post, the applicant should ensure that he/ she fulfils the
eligibility and other norms mentioned for the foreign posting as on the specified date.
Applicant should also ensure that the particulars furnished are correct in all respects
at the time of submission of the application.

iii. In case it is detected at any stage of the selection process that an applicant does
not fulfil the eligibility norms and/ or that he/ she has furnished any incorrect/ false
information or has supressed any material fact(s), his/ her candidature will stand
cancelled. Submission of application with incorrect details/ false information may
be viewed very seriously including initiation of disciplinary action against the official.

4. EXAMINATION PROCESS:

Online test for shortlisting of candidates for the interview for selection as JIBO will be
advised in due course (tentatively in 2nd / 3rd week of February 2023). The test will be
“objective type” comprising of four sections viz. (i) Credit & Trade Finance (ii) Operations,
(iii) General Awareness and (iv) Aptitude Test (Data Interpretation, Logical & Critical
Reasoning and Comprehension Ability & Knowledge of English). The duration of the
examination will be of 120 Minutes and there will be negative marking for incorrect
answers.

5. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

A. Please make sure that all the fields of the online application form viz. Assignment
details, all prior appearance(s) in interview for foreign posting, all earlier Foreign
Assignment (s), if any, Family details etc should be invariably and correctly filled in
before clicking on the submit button.
B. Assignment details should contain all the previous assignments in the Bank since
confirmation in the Officer’s Cadre.

C. Please re-verify all the details before clicking on the submit button.

D. An E-mail will be triggered on successful submission of the application.

E. Information such as family details, posting/ assignments details and outstanding


achievements (Maximum 5 bullet points) are to be filled in by clicking on add icon
available against respective fields.

F. Please note that as per extant guidelines, fees for children’s education at foreign
centre would be reimbursed only for children studying in Class I and above.

G. Lease house / Quarters provided by Bank in India will not be available after the officer
has been relieved for foreign posting.

H. Please use Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome for accessing application.

I. Desiring officials may obtain passport to avoid any delay after selection.
