ACTIVITY 3- DISTINCTNESS OF A LEARNERS DISCUSSION/ LECTURE

WRITE YOUR NARRATIVE REPORT ON DOMAIN 3 DIVERSITY OF LEARN

On November 8, 2022 we conducted an observation at Tayug south Ventral School. We are given the
task of observing to a grade 4 class of Mrs. Moises. There are 28 students overall, as we can see in the
classroom. The range of their ages is 8 to 9.

Even though Mrs. Moises is not feeling well, she did her best to instruct the students before we begin
the class observation. They begin in prayer before greeting each other and us. In order to inspire her
students, Mrs. Moises led a song. Three songs are sung before the discussion begins. English reading is
the first subject they cover. The majority of them read, while a few don't respond. Mrs. Moises assigns
them to work in pairs after they have read some simple sight words. Although Mrs. Moises wasn't
feeling well, we observed how committed she was to teaching her students.

We also see the teacher utilizing the peer reading technique. The reader from the first list shall read the
first while the reader from the second list will listen and follow. The second reader should continue
where the first reader leaves off. Everyone will cooperate and take part using this technique. Students
who don't pay attention to the readers and don't follow them are subject to punishment. Instead of
being allowed to leave class early, they must stay with the teacher to read for a short period of time.

HOW MUCH INTERACTION IS THERE IN THE CLASSROOM. DESCRIBE HOW STUDENT INTERACT ONE
ANOTHER AND WITH THE TEACHER. ARE THERE GROUPS THAT INTERACT MORE WITH THE TEACHER
THAN OTHERS?

Everyone is interacting with one another, including the teacher. When students participate in activities
like pair reading, they interact with one another. When the teacher asks questions, there is also
interaction between the student and the teacher.

OBSERVE THE LEARNERS BEHAVIOR DURING THE CONDUCT OF THE CLASS. HOW DO THEY BEHAVE AND
INTERACT DIFFERENTLY?

Students that sit in the front of the class tend to be more engaged and well-behaved. Students who are
seated in the front and the back interact differently. Students who are in the front are more engaged
than those who are seated in the back. The teachers give those in the front greater attention.

DESCRIBE THE RELATIONSHIPS AMONG THE LEARNERS. DO THE LEARNERS COOPERATE WITH OR
COMPETE AGAINTS ECH OTHER?

Our observations indicate that there isn't any competition in the class. They work together
cooperatively.
WHO AMONG THE STUDENTS PARTICPATE ACTIVELY? WHO AMONG THEM ASK FOR HELP?

The students seated in the front are those that took an active part in the lesson, while those in the back
are the ones who need assistance the most.

WHEN THE LEARNERS IS CALLED AND CANNOT ANSWER THE TEACHERS QUESTION, DO THE
CLASSMATES TRY TO HELP HIM OR DO THEY RAISE THEIR HANDS, SO THAT THE TEACHER CALL THEM
INSTEAD?

We see that there are times when a student is unable to respond to the teacher's question, and the
teacher then instantly calls on another student to respond. In an effort to respond to the question, some
students also raise their hands.

ANALYZE

IDENTIFY THE PERSON WHO PLAY THE KEY ROLES IN THE REALATIONSHIPS AND INTERACTION IN
VIRTUAL CLASSROOM. WHAT ROLES DO PLAYS? IS THERE SOMEBODY WHO APPERS TO BE LEADER, A
MASCOT/JOKER, AN ATTENTION SEEKER, LITTLE TEACHER, A DOUBT/PESSIMIST?

The teacher and the student both have significant responsibilities to play in the virtual classroom. The
students serve as learners, while the teachers serve as facilitators. Some students are attention seekers;
they make an effort to get the attention of both their teacher and their fellow students. They are the
students who instruct their classmates who have less knowledge of the subject than they have. They
have the appearance of being the leader and the teacher. In the classroom, both the teacher and the
student are comedians. The instructors make jokes to liven up the classroom.

HOW DOES THE TEACHER INFLUENCE THE CLASS INTERACTION CONSIDERING THE INDIVIDUAL
DIFFERENCES OF THE STRUDENT IN A CLASSROOM?

The instructor shapes classroom interactions by modeling fair values while taking into account the
individual peculiarities of each student. When a student gives an incorrect response to a question, the
teacher doesn't chastise her.

REFLECT

HOW DID YOU FELL AS YOU OBSERVED IN THE CLASSROOM? DID YOU FEEL A SENSE OF ONENESS OR
UNITY AMONG THE LEARNERS AND BETWEEN TEACHERS AND THE LEARNERS?

As I sit in the back of the room and watch the students, I have the upbeat impression that I am prepared
to work as a teacher. By supporting one another, I see the teachers and students working together as a
team.
IN THE FUTURE, HOW WOULD YOU WANT THE LEARNERS IN YOUR CLASS TO INTERACT? HOW WILL YOU
MAKE IT HAPPEN?

I hope that in the future, students will be able to actively participate in all classroom activities and
engage in highly engaging and participatory classroom interactions. I'll demonstrate the classroom's
equity to them in order to make them feel included in the group.
