Drake is a celebrated rapper, songwriter, actor and entrepreneur from Toronto, Canada. He was born in 1986 to a white Jewish mother and African American father. Drake began his career as a child actor on the television show Degrassi: The Next Generation. He began releasing mixtapes in 2006 and signing with Lil Wayne's record label Young Money in 2009, releasing successful albums and singles such as Thank Me Later, Take Care, Nothing Was the Same, and hits like "Best I Ever Had", "Hotline Bling", and "God's Plan". Hello, today I'm going to talk a little about Drake's life as many of you may already know.

I'm
going to talk a little about his life, the best releases and what he's achieved in his career.

Aubrey Drake Graham was born on October 24, 1986 in Toronto (Canada), where he was
raised, and is a celebrated rapper, songwriter, actor and entrepreneur. Drake is currently one
of the biggest names in contemporary hip hop.

Drake's mother is a white Jewish teacher (Sandi Graham from Toronto) and his father is an
African-American drummer (Dennis Graham from Tennessee). The two separated when the
boy was a child and Drake was raised by his mother spending only the holidays with his father.
During Drake's childhood his father was arrested for drug addiction.

The Drake boy lived in Toronto's Weston Road area and acted as a child model in a series of
commercials. As a teenager, he moved to Forest Hill Collegiate in Toronto.

In addition to his father, a musician, Drake has two other family members in the same musical
universe: his uncle Larry Graham was an important bassist who played with Prince and his
uncle Mabon Teenie Hodges was an established guitarist.

Drake's Professional Life Started On Television

The young man debuted as an actor in the first decade of the 2000s, when he was just 14 years
old, in the Canadian teen series Degrassi: the next generation.

Drake appeared in more than 100 episodes over seven seasons playing basketball star Jimmy
Brooks.

During this period Drake also made occasional appearances on Canadian series such as Blue
Murder (2001) and Soul Food (2002).

Drake's Music Debut

In the music world, the rapper released his first mixtape called Room for Improvement in 2006.

The following year, it was time to promote Comeback Season and began to receive support
from illustrious producers such as Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Jay-z.

By this time Drake was leaning more into the world of music than acting. As an actor, he made
few appearances in occasional series such as The Border and Being Erica.

The rapper's career has been escalating

In 2009 Drake signed to Lil Wayne's Young Money having released So far gone. From that time
are the hits Best I ever had and I'm going' In. The following year, it was time to promote her
album Thank me later.

In 2011, he released the album Take care, which received the Grammy for Best Rap Album of
the Year. Two years later he released Nothing was the same.
One of the highlights of the rapper's career was the video for Best I Ever Had, directed by
friend Kanye West.

Although Drake has already scored a series of hits over more than a decade of musical career,
