DEPARTMENT
Industrial Engineering Department (IE) in Institut Teknologi
Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) is one of the top field of study in
Indonesia. Undergraduate program in IE was established since
1985, Master program in 1996, and Doctorate program in 2009.
IE-ITS has been successful in its efforts to develop its education
programs, this is reflected in the accreditation gained since 1999 to
the present (A) from National Board of Accreditation. IE keep
forward to goes global :

INTERNSHIP
PROGRAM
Internship Program is one of the curriculum that has to be taken by
student of LSCM Master’s degree at IE-ITS. Beside that Internship
Program hopefully will add a greater understanding about the real
things that happens in industrial world. A comprehensive
understanding about the problems in the real industrial world will
help students in applying their knowledge from theory that they have
got in college in a real practice of industrial work. In the other hand, for
a company, Internship Program could be an event to search for new
human resources and an event to evaluate the quality of undergraduate
student.
Internship program also to expose students to real work of
environment experience and at the same time, to gain the knowledge
through hands on observation and job execution. From the internship
program, the students will also develop skills in work ethics,
communication, management and others. Moreover, this practical
training program allows students to relate theoretical knowledge with
its application in the manufacturing industry.

OBJECTIVES
MAIN OBJECTIVE
Main objectives of internship program of IE are to analyze the practical
implication acquired during the master program, to gain practical
knowledge about the organization, and to understand the major function
along with products and services of the organization.

OTHERS OBJECTIVES
 To provide students the opportunity to test their interest in a
particular career before permanent commitments are made.
 To develop skills in the application of theory to practical work
situations.
 Internships will increase a student's sense of responsibility and
good work habits.
 To expose students to real work environment experience gain
knowledge in writing report in technical works/projects.
 Internship programs will increase student earning potential upon
graduation.
 To build the strength, teamwork spirit and self-confidence in
students life.
 To build a good communication skill with group of workers and
learn to learn proper behavior of corporate life in industrial sector.
 The student will be able instilled with good moral values such as
responsibility, commitment and trustworthy during their training.
