GREETINGS!!!
RENAO, the annual cultural festival of IIT Jammu is back with its boom. Beat Street presents
you with "Dance for a cause".To all the dance enthusiasts it's time to showcase your talents to
create awareness. Your dance can represent a social cause (eg patriarchy, poverty,illetracy, etc)
or it can even be a dance drama. Till now you were dancing for yourself, now it's time to dance
for something big. As the show must go on, no matter how challenging the situation is !!
GUIDELINES
This is a group-based competition with a team size of 4-8 members
The limit of the song duration must be between 3-6 min.
Participants are free to choose the song. It can be of any language or region.
Vulgarity and obscenity at any point are strictly not allowed. It can lead to immediate disqualification. Songs
should be chosen accordingly.
The video should be submitted through google forms provided by event heads in the form of a drive link such
that anyone with the link can view that video.
Participants are free to choose any dance style
The team leader is required to register on behalf of the entire team. There can only be one leader
There is no restriction on participation anyone can participate

The Dramatizers are here with yet another event for all you budding writers with a passion for
scripting. All you have to do is submit the script of a play/act that you think will blow our minds
away. If you have ever thought of screenplay writing or have some characters in your
imagination that you want to bring to life, then this event is for you.
GUIDELINES
1. The script should be in the form of dialogues/conversations of any genre or theme.
2. Ideally, the script should contain 6-8 characters with recurring roles.
3. The minimum word limit is 500 words.
4. Accepted Languages are Hindi and English.
5. The script and Idea should be original, all submissions will be checked for plagiarism.
(5-7% Plagiarism is acceptable.)
6. Script can be submitted as a handwritten manuscript or an online document.

GUIDELINES
1. The participants have to send their recorded solo performance (monologue) of the script of their choice in video
format.

life.
Keeping this in mind, we bring to you Talk-it-ive; an event where the battle between the best will be on
the basis of your strongest asset: your mind.
GUIDELINES
1. The participant will be provided with a random topic on the spot to speak on.
2. The participant has to speak only in English.
3. After the allotment of topic, 1 minute of preparation time will be given following which the participant has to speak
on the topic for 3 minutes.
4. Two minutes after the starting of speech, the participant will be notified by the sound of a buzzer following which
you are expected to wrap up your speech.

event "Happy Hands" in Renao'21, Arthic the Fine Arts Club of IIT jammu presents you with
"HAPPY HANDS 2.0", the DIY Craft contest.
GUIDELINES
1. This is a group event.
2. The participants have to provide three images.
An image of the materials
An image of the craft
A short video of them making the craft using the materials, or photos of your artwork at different stages of making
and an image of them holding the craft.
3. Any kind of editing with images or using images from the internet is prohibited.
4. Use of explicit content or references is prohibited.
5. The craftwork should be out of waste materials.
6. The participants are expected to submit craftwork that is eco-friendly and useful. It should be more than just
decorative items and would be judged based on creativity and freshness of idea.

Monochrome photography as the name suggests deals with only one color. Each image position
should show a different amount of light but the same hue. Your photograph should display different
shades of the same color.It includes all forms of black-and-white photography, which produce images
containing shades of neutral gray ranging from black to white.

Short videos have stormed the internet from the time they came into existence. We all are big fans of
short videos, especially Instagram Reels. We spend a lot of time on the reels once we start watching
them. So, Beat Street, the Dance club of IIT Jammu, brings you the opportunity to become an
overnight star. All of you must be very familiar with your regional dance and love performing it but
some of you might get bored performing it all time and love to try some other forms. In this
competition, you have to perform your regional dance and any other form of dance of your choice.
Both of the dance videos should be in each half of the video frame.

GUIDELINES
1. The participants have the freedom to choose any song on which they want to
make reel.
2. The participants have to perform two dance forms. One will be regional dance

For the last many years India has been moving toward the rap music industry. It’s a pretty cool way to
express your creativity. This event is really a good opportunity to showcase your talent. So gear up
and come to express yourselves.
GUIDELINES
In this event, you will be given a word by us and you have to prepare your rap out of it.
The word will be shared with you 1 week before the event and you will be given 1 Week to prepare
your submissions.
The submissions must include a word file of the lyrics, an audio file of your rap and a video file of your
performance.
You may recite rap composed by you or any other existing rap.
You cannot use abusive words in your rap, doing so you will be disqualified from the event.

GUIDELINES
The number of participants should not be more than one.

Event Description
It will be a live based event, where participants will be reciting poems, preferably self-composed poems. The poem should be
relevant to the theme that is NOSTALGIA. A famous poet will be present there and enlighten the audience with the art of
writing poetry.
Guidelines
The participants can submit their poetry in only one of the three languages, i.e., Hindi, Urdu or English.
The poem should have a minimum of 50 words and a maximum of 200 words.
The time limit for the recitation has a lower bound of 2 minutes and an upper bound of 5 minutes.
The registration for the event and the submission of the poems will start on 25th April and closes on 12th May.
The submitted poem has to be the same that to be recited on the day of the event.
The submission of the poem should be in PDF format with the name of the poet mentioned at the bottom.

GREETINGS!!!
Beat Street presents you with "Hook Step" event .To all the dance enthusiasts it's time to
showcase your talents . As the show must go on, no matter how challenging the situation
is !!
GUIDELINES
This will be a face off competition.
All participants would be divided into pairs.
A series of songs would be played on which you are supposed to perform the hook steps.
Rounds would be of knock out format.
Vulgarity and obscenity at any point are strictly not allowed. It can lead to immediate disqualification.
