A. Reviewing the previous lesson/ Motivation
                                               - Last week we have discussed about the importance
                                               of SMAW and its meaning.
                                               - What is meant for SMAW?                                - Shielded Metal Arc Welding

                                               - Why SMAW is important?                                 - because without SMAW sir
                                                                                                        we can't form buildings,
                                                                                                        gates, fences, vehicles.

                                               - Before we proceed to our lesson proper, let's have a
                                               game first. The name of this game is "Guess the
                                               picture".

C. Presenting examples/Instances of the new     - In the workplace, workers should be safe. A safe and
   lesson                                       healthy workplace not only protects workers from injury
                                                and illness, it can also lower injury/illness costs,
                                                reduce absenteeism and turnover, increase
                                                productivity and quality, and raise employee morale.
                                                - To keep the workers safe, workers must wear PPEs.
                                                - A Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is
                                                specialized clothing or equipment worn by an
                                                employee for protection against hazards that remain
                                                after engineering controls and work practice controls
                                                are in place.
                                                - In our game earlier, what is our topic is all about?
                                                - Very good.

D. Discussing new concepts and practicing new
   skills # 1                                   - Our topic is all about the Personal Protective
                                                Equipment (PPE) used in welding.
                                                - There are four PPEs that are commonly used in
                                                welding:
                                                    1. Welding Mask - is a type of headgear used
                                                       when performing certain types of welding to        - Weld, join, connect, attach,
                                                       protect the eyes, face and neck from flash         and add.
                                                       burn, ultraviolet light, sparks, infrared light,
                                                       and heat.
                                                    2. Welding Gloves - protect the hands of
                                                       welders from the hazards of welding. These
                                                       gloves allow digit articulation while protecting
                                                       the operator from electrical shock, extreme
                                                       heat, and ultraviolet and infrared radiation,
                                                       and also provide abrasion resistance and
                                                       enhanced grip.
                                                            3. Welding Jacket - intended to protect welders
                                                               from metal splatter and high heat by the use
                                                               of fire resistant and thermally insulating
                                                               materials.
                                                            4. Welding Boots - a durable boot or shoe that
                                                               has a protective reinforcement in the toe
                                                               which protects the foot from falling objects or
                                                               compression.

E. Developing mastery

                                                        - Alright class, you are going to perform the basic in
                                                        welding (creating a spark).
                                                        - Each students will be given two welding rods.
                                                        - Each students will be given 5 minutes to perform.
                                                        - And lasty, before starting observe SAFETY WHILE
                                                        WORKING, NO PLAYING WITH THE TOOLS AND
                                                        wear PPE correctly to avoid unwanted incidents or
                                                        ACCIDENTS.
