AN INTERODUCTION:
The first world Cup Tournament To be held in the middle east The stadium where Mexico
faced Poland in the group C match became a point a discussion for the fans ,where he drew
attention to it for its uniqueness as it is the first temporary stadium that can be dismantLed in
the world .
A match hosted by stadium in the 2022 world Cup , Where Qatar is looking forward to
impressing with it’s distinguished stadiums . In the article ,we will talk about the most

Qatar stadium 1974 is the first football stadium that can be completely dismantled in
commitment to environmental sustainability from the state of Qatar , which will host the 2022
world Cup .
The first temporary stadium of its kind in football history comes with a unique and distinctive
design , using repurposed shipping containers and modular steel in its construction . it should be
noted that it will host seven matches in the 2022 world Cup , although it is a temporary stadium
with an estimated capacity of 40,000 spectators .
The stadium provides easy access for teams and fans due to its proximity to Hamad Airport .
which is several kilometers away , as it is the first stadium that the fans see when they arrive in
Doha .
The stadium includes dining halls , waiting rooms , restrooms , and changing rooms . all via
containers , which will be dismantled after the end of the tournament and redirected and used .
Container playground design :
The stadium was designed by Spanish architecture firm Fenwick Iribarren Architects and
built using a total of 974 shipping containers – the international key number for Qatar to receive
a Five-star (GSAS) certification in the Global sustainability Assessment of its design and
construction , according to the panel . Supreme council the FIFA world Cup Qatar 2022 (SC).
*The (GSAS) classification is a certification awarded to green buildings located in north Africa
and middle East region , for construction , design and accompanying operation . the highest
rating that can be achieved is a six-star rating .
The design was designed to be obtain natural ventilation without the need for artificial
cooling , due to the shape of the container pool and the presence of gaps between the seats , in
addition its proximity to the sea .
Concession stands , staircases and bathrooms are housed within these steel containers , an
innovation blueprint that can be referenced in the future to design more sustainable
stadiums .according to a statement from the Supreme Committee of the world Cup.
Hassan Al Thawadi , secretary General of the Supreme committee , expressed his belief that
this innovative stadium will change the rules of the game in the future for those who will host
mega sporting events in the future .
Why stadium (974) named by that name :
The stadium was built using shipping containers and standard steel elements to become one
of the most distinguished in the 2022 world Cup , as 974 shipping containers were used to build
the stadium , which is seven kilometers from downtown Doha , which is equivalent to four miles .
Another reason for naming the stadium is that 974 is the international calling code for the
state of Qatar .
The stadium was previously known as Ras Abu Aboud stadium , and it is the seventh stadium to
be prepared for the world Cup , as it is scheduled to host seven matches until the round of 16 in
the 2022 world Cup .
The stadium 974 location :
The stadium is located in Doha within a largely industrial area called( Ras Abu Aoud) , which
include an electric power plant , one of three exiting power stations in Qatar table tennis
association .
Matches that played at stadium 974 before world cup 2022 :
The stadium hosted its first match between the United Arab Emirates and Syria on November
30 in the Arab Cup that was held last November ; where the Emirates Won (2-1) with the
presence of more than four thousand Fans .
It worth nothing that the stadium hosted a total of six matches in the Arab Cup , and the stadium
974 hosted the semi-final matches between Tunisia and Egypt in Arab Cup to determine the third
place that Tunisia won with a score (1-0) with a record attendance of 36,427 fans .
