Institute Innovation Council of Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of
Science & Technology in association with iHub Divya Sampark,
Technology Innovation Hub organizes a Hackathon at State Level to
facilitate & promote Reasearch & Emerging Areas and provide students
the opportunity to gain valuable experience in recent technological trends.

Theme of Hackathon
1| Cyber-Physical Systems
a. An intelligent system in which a mechanism is controlled and monitored
by algorithms.
b. Innovative technology application for effective use of resources
2| Internet of Things (IoT)
a. Connecting physical objects over the internet or other communication
network.
b. Utilization/Value addition in present surroundings to make things
effective to use.
3| Robotics
a. Designing, constructing, and operating machines that can assist humans.
b. Autonomous is the need of the hour and creating semi-autonomous/
autonomous machines enhance the overall viability of a domain.

Guidelines
1. Team/Students can submit online application by 20 Feb,2023.
2. A maximum of ten teams per college/ institute can participate.
3. Each team would comprise minimum of two and maximum of four students and one
faculty as a mentor. Each team must have at least one girl candidate. One faculty as a mentor is
compulsory for all the participating teams.
4. Any student can be a member of one team only, however a mentor can have a maximum
of 2 teams.
5. One of the students from each team should act as a Team Leader.
6. The application must contain brief “Innovation Proposal” of the project / solution along
with personal & institutional detail.
7. Inter-disciplinary representation in the team is permitted. All team members should be
from same college; no inter-college teams are allowed. However, members from different
branches of the same college/ institute can form a team.
8. One team can submit ONLY one idea.
9. Registration fee for the event will be Rs 200/- (per team).
Eligibility Criteria
1. Students of Science and Engineering institutes and universities are
eligible to apply.
2. The entrant institute/University may nominate maximum Ten Teams
(not more than 04 students in each team & 01 mentor) of their students.
3. Each team will have to present an innovative solution of the given
problem which should be complete at the time of exhibiting the prototype.
4. Mentor/ Teacher-In-charge in the team should have been in the entrant
institute for at least 02 years.
5. The Mentor/ Teacher-in-charge should provide support and guidance to
the team project
Selection Criteria
1. Applications shall be short listed based on their conformity to the
guidelines and information furnished by nominees for specific categories.
2. All the participants will then be invited for the 1st Phase of the
hackathon on 3rd - 4th March 2023.
3. Under 1st Phase, teams will be presenting their innovative idea (not a
working prototype) in front of jury.
4. Evaluation/ Selection criteria will include novelty of the idea, technical
feasibility, Marketing feasibility, financial viability, project scalability and
replicability, social cost-benefit Analysis, user experience and potential for
future work progression.
5. The shortlisted teams/ applicants shall be called for the 2nd Phase of
the Hackathon to showcase the work done and explain in detail the
‘innovation’ as claimed, to the expert committee on the date of event (12-13
April 2023).
Recoginition
1. All winners will receive fellowship from iHUB (approx. 7000 - 10,000
per month) till the completion of project.
2. All the shortlisted participants will be given participation certificates.
