RESOLUTION CREATING AND OPERATIONALIZING AN AKSYON BARANGAY KONTRA
DENGUE COMMITTEE USING THE “4S STRATEGY” EMPHASIZING THE CREATION OF
PUROK DENGUE TASK FORCE
WHEREAS, the health of the people is the primary responsibility of the barangay.
WHEREAS, Section 16 of the Local Government Code states that every local government
unit shall exercise the powers expressly granted, those necessarily implied therefrom, as well as
powers necessary, appropriate or incidental for its efficient and effective governance, and those
which are essential for the promotion of the general welfare.
WHEREAS, the Provincial Government of Bohol calls for the conduct of a more
aggressive campaign against Dengue diseases caused by day-biting and most dreaded
mosquito vectors and the circumstances of an outbreak;
WHEREAS, this year 2022, the Department of Health’s (DOH) experts warn of even
more serious dengue morbidity and mortality as manifested by the trend from January to June
of the current year;
WHEREAS, combating dengue cannot be sustained by DOH or the LGUs alone, but
requires the concerted effort of the entire community
WHEREAS, the Provincial Governor directs all barangay officials to formulate a
Resolution Creating and Operationalizing an Aksyon Barangay Kontra Dengue (ABKD)
Committee using “4s Strategy” emphasizing on the Creation of Purok Dengue Task Force with
the following members:
1. MRS. DAHLIA S. DE GRACIA Barangay Health Worker (BHW)
2. HON. JOEMAR F. GALVADORES Sangguniang Kabataan (SK)
3. MR. URBANO B. PILOTON Barangay Tanod
4. HON. MANOLITO M. GALVADORES Purok Kagawad in Charge
5. MRS. VILOLETA HERNANDEZ Purok 1 Leader
6. MR. LORENDO N. PILOTON Purok 2 Leader
7. MR. RENANTE B. PILOTON Purok 3 Leader
8. MR. DANILO P. BAYRON SR. Purok 4 Leader
9. MR. JOHNNY HINAMPAS Purok 5 Leader
10. MRS. ZOSIMA S. OLASIMAN Purok 6 Leader
11. MR. GAMALIEL AMORA Purok 7 Leader
WHEREAS, the Purok Dengue Task Force shall perform the following tasks, to wit:
a. Conduct weekly surveillance of all households’ compliance to the 4S Strategy
b. Conduct Search and Destroy activities outside and inside households
c. Educate household members on the proper conduct of Search and Destroy activities
in their respective homes
d. Report to the ABKD Committee any household which is not conducting regular “4S”
activities for possible disciplinary sanctions and deemed proper through barangay
ordinance.
WHEREFORE, upon unanimous accord of all the barangay council members, be it –
RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, to create and operationalize an Aksyon Barangay
Kontra Dengue Committee using the “4s strategy” emphasizing the creation of Purok Dengue
Task Force
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be forwarded to offices concerned
for their information.
