3 o’clock – sanji 3 min. – sanpun 30 min. – sanjuppun / han
4 o’clock – yoji 4 min. – yonpun 40 min. - yonjuppun
5 o’clock – goji 5 min. – gofun 50 min. - gojuppun

1. What time is it now?
Ex. Answer: 10ji desu. (10 o’clock)

2. From what time is your country bank open?


Ex. Answer: ginkou wa kuji kara yoji made desu.
(the bank is open from 9AM to 4PM.)

3. What time do you wake up every day?


Ex. Answer: watashi wa mainichi hachiji ni okimasu.
(I wake up at 8AM every day.)

4. What time did you study yesterday?


Ex. Answer: kinou benkyoushimasendeshita.
(I didn’’t study yesterday.)

5. What is your telephone number?


Ex. Answer: watashi wa denwa bangou wa 0995-
717-0203 (zero, kyuu, kyuu go no nana ichi nana no
zero ni zero san) desu.
(my number is 0995-717-0203.)
