AFFIDAVIT
I, ROGELIO SAN LUIS JR., of legal age, married, and with address at Barangay
San Nicolas, Oton, Iloilo, under oath, state:
1. THAT Sometime in 2020, Roy Camacho called me to give greetings during
the holiday season;
2. THAT during our conversation, he asked me if I have extra money he can
borrow for his business/investment venture in Roxas and promised to
return the money with high returns or in full;
3. THAT given my relationship and friendship with Roy Camacho, I
provided the requested amount of P150,000 some time in December face to
face in Roxas City, Capiz.
4. THAT a few weeks after lending him the money, Roy Camacho payed me
a visit in my hometown in Oton, Iloilo to reassure me that he will be able
to return my money in full or with returns.
5. THAT with the same promise of returning my money in full and with
interest, requested for another P100,000 as he said it will complete his
investment venture and will hasten the process.
6. THAT because the money I lent Roy Camacho was a combination of my
savings, my children and my spouse, I told Roy Camacho to return the
money without expecting any returns but rather just the exact amount that
he promised to pay back.
7. That I made hundred times and numerous demands thru phone calls and
text messages including Facebook messenger but to no avail;
8. That after numerous demands, it came to the point that Roy Camacho is
already not communicating with me but let his spouse answer my calls
and messages;
9. THAT he acknowledged to pay his debt and gave an initial amount of Ten
Thousand Pesos (PHP 10,000.00) last May 2021 and continued to reassure
me his promise to send money monthly until fully paid
10. THAT his second payment was only made in JULY 2021 in the amount of
Five Thousand Pesos (Php 5,000.00);
11. THAT no further payment was received despite several attempts to follow-
up Spouse Camacho.
12. THAT from time to time, I continue to reach out via phone call but he is
always unreachable and causes me anxiety, stress and shame to my spouse
and children that start to cause family troubles and conflict.
13. THAT his excuse of incapacity to pay was no longer believable as seen in
his social media activities showing evidence of non-essential spending of
money. I also attached proof to show his spending/lifestyle.
14. THAT all receipts, documents, screenshots, text messages, remittances and
demands through text and facebook messenger are attached in this
affidavit.
15. THAT I also attached a recording of our phone call and conversation that
he promises to pay the full amount.
16. That I am executing this Affidavit to attest the truth of the foregoing facts
and to support my claim against Spouses Roy and Gerelyn Camacho.
