Ingredients:
4 eggs Ingredients:
2 cups sugar 4 c. pared, tart apples (about 4 medium)
1 cup butter 2/3 – ¾ c. brown sugar
1 cup milk ½ c. all purpose flour (I use wheat)
3 cups all purpose flour ½ c. oats
2 tsp baking powder 1/3 c. butter
1 tsp salt ¾ tsp. Cinnamon
1 T vanilla ¾ tsp. Nutmeg (or allspice)
1 T butter flavoring
1 tsp almond or optional may use lemon flavoring Heat oven to 375 degrees. Spray 8 X 8 glass bowl.
Place apples in bowl. Mix all other ingredients in a

FRESH APPLE CAKE APPLE SALAD
Ingredients:
3 c. chopped apples 1 c. chopped pecans Ingredients:
2 c. sugar 1 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs 1 tbsp. Vanilla 2-3 c. cubed/bite sized apples
3 c. plain flour 1 tsp. Baking soda 1 can crushed pineapple
1 tsp. Salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 8-oz cool whip
1 small box butterscotch pudding mix (sugarfree)
Mix by hand—do not use mixer. Chop apples and ½ cup chopped nuts
pecans; set aside; mix sugar and oil. Add well beaten
eggs to mixture; add vanilla; add apples and nuts. Sift Mix in large bowl. Keep in air-tight bowl. Serve after
flour, soda, salt. Stir into batter and mix well. Bake in cooling at least 1 hour.
11X13 pan at 350 degrees for 45 min, or in tube pan for
1 hour, 15 min. In glass dish, bake 35 min.
ICING:
1 stick margarine, 1-½ c. brown sugar, 1/3 c.
canned milk (Pet or Carnation), 2 tsp. Vanilla.
Melt margarine; then add other ingredients. Cook until it
forms soft ball stage—about 10-12 min. over low heat
stirring frequently. Ice cake while hot. (My caramel
icing did not work until I started fixing it in my iron
skillet. 2nd icing is included if you prefer.)

16 oz bottle or ranch dressing ½ c. sugar
2 cups 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese 1 box yellow cake mix
1 ½ c. chopped pecans
Boil and shred the chicken. Mix bottle of hot sauce and 1 stick margarine-melted
chicken together. Melt cream cheese and ranch together.
Pour chicken in a baking dish. Top with the cream Using a 9X13 glass dish, place items in starting with

MAMA’ S CAKE MARK’S BIRTHDAY CAKE
Ingredients:

2 cups plain flour and 1 cup self-rising flour

Mix well. Line cake pans with waxed paper. Bake layers
for 20 – 30 min. at 350 degrees. Bake tube cake for 1

CAKE SQUARES CARAMEL FOR 3 LAYERS

1 can mushrooms 1 chicken cooked and deboned
1 sweet onion chopped 1 package wide egg noodles (cooked)
1 can mushroom soup 1 can cream of mushroom soup
8 oz sour cream 1 can cream of chicken soup
½ cup miracle whip 1 8 oz container of sour cream
½ cup mayonnaise 1 stick of margarine (½ cup)
1 small jar pimentos 1 pkg of herbal dressing mix (Pepperridge Farm)
2 tbsp parsley 3-4 cups chicken broth to make soupy.
2 tbsp chives
1 tsp garlic powder Mix ingredients and place in 9x13 dish sprayed in PAM

½ cup sliced fresh mushrooms(1 cup) 1 lb ground beef
½ cup chopped onion(1 cup) 1 cup chopped green pepper
¼ cup melted butter(½ cup) 1 can diced tomatoes
¼ cup all purpose flour(½ cup) 1 cup ketchup
1 ½ cups chicken broth(3 cups) 1 tsp chili powder
2 cups half & half(4 cups) 1 can red kidney beans
1 cup frozen chopped broccoli, thawed(2 cups) 1 onion chopped
¼ tsp garlic powder(½ tsp)
¼ tsp dried whole thyme(½ tsp) Cook and stir ground beef, onion and green pepper in a

Stir in cooked chicken, broccoli and spices. Cover and
simmer (be sure not to let mixture come to a full boil),
stirring occasionally.
COLESLAW DEVIL’S FOOD CAKE
Ingredients: Ingredients:
2 ½ c plain flour
Cabbage 1 ¾ c sugar
Sugar 1 ¼ tsp baking soda
Salt 1 tsp salt
Pepper ½ c shortening
Mayonnaise 1 ¼ c milk
Carrot 2 eggs
Vinegar 3 squares chocolate melted (or 6 tbsp cocoa)
1 tsp vanilla
Cabbage amount to be determined by number serving.
Use salt and pepper to taste. Add equal amounts of Mix flour, sugar, soda salt. Soften shortening and add
sugar and vinegar. (For 4-6, ½ tsp each.) Add Mayon- dry ingredients. Add 1 cup milk. Beat 2 min in mixer or

12 oz cool whip

1 jar Parmesan cheese 1-2 garlic cloves - minced
6 lasagna noodles (uncooked) 1 lg sausage cubed. Cook in microwave. Toss grease

LIME SALAD
CROCK POT MACARONI FAVORITE
Ingredients:

1 ¾ cup milk
1 can evaporated milk
1 large can crushed pineapple
1 stick margarine
6 oz cream cheese
½ tsp Dijon mustard
8 oz cool whip
3/8 tsp salt
3 oz pkg lime jello
1/8 tsp pepper
½ cup nuts chopped
¼ tsp paprika
2 cups dry macaroni
Drain pineapple. Save juice. Follow direction and boil
8 oz grated cheddar cheese
water for jello. Mash cream cheese. Cool. Add
4 oz Velveta cut into cubes
pineapple, cool whip and nuts. Make 8-24 hr ahead.
¼ cup Parmesan cheese
Bread crumbs dotted with butter for top

2 Cans Veg-All (regular) or 1 Large can
1 Can Water Chestnuts 1 Pound ground beef
1 Cup Mayonnaise 1 Medium onion, chopped (about ½ cup)
1 Cup cheese, grated 3 Tablespoons Ketchup
1 Small Onion, chopped 3 Tablespoons Mustard
1 Cup Sour Cream 1 Can Condensed Chicken Gumbo Soup (10 oz)
1 Sleeve Ritz Crackers, crushed 6 Hamburger buns, split and toasted
(or Pepperidge Farm Dressing)

Instructions: In a medium skillet, cook and stir ground beef and onion
Mix all ingredients together (except topping). Pour into until meat is brown and onion is tender. Stir in ketchup,
