__________________________.
(Show Host): Have you heard about the tree gates of speech. According to this old proverb your words
should past through tree gates before you speak them out.
(Show Host): At the first gate ask yourself is it true.
(Show Host): At the second gate is it necessary.
(Show Host): And at the third and finale gate is it kind.
(Show Host): Now I think this principle not only applies to everyday speech but also to debating as well.
(Show Host): So, on that note lets open this year’s debate competition
(Show Host2): This tournament adapts the British parliamentary style; the debate consists of four teams
of two speakers with two teams on either side of the case.
(Show Host2): Each speaker delivers a 7-minute speech and teams gain points individually even upon the
same side.
(Show Host2): The first and last minute of each speech is protected from the point of information.
(Show Host): So, without further ado lets go ahead and meet our debaters.
(Show Host): Now students your teams and science will be chosen by drawing loss so each goal, please
step forward and randomly select the scroll
(Show Host): First step is _____________________________________, let’s see what they have chosen,
they have chosen ______________________________.

Please select a scroll the ______________________________, they’ll be taking first.
(Show Host): Next up other students from _________________________________ (Student Name) And

it dropped.

decision carefully.
