Subject: Calendar of Student Enrichment Activities 2023
CBSE is committed to provide quality education to promote intellectual, social, emotional and
cultural development of its learners. It works towards evolving a learning process and
environment which empowers the future citizens of the country to become global leaders in
the emerging knowledge society. It endeavours to provide a stress- free learning environment
that will develop competent, confident and enterprising citizens of the country.
With the above vision, the Board has introduced and been conducting many student
enrichment activities throughout the year like Expression Series, Heritage India Quiz, Science
Challenge, Science Exhibition, Aryabhatta Ganit Challenge, Reading Challenge, Story Telling
Competition, etc.
In the New Year, the Board will be conducting all these activities and some new activities will
also be initiated. The month wise calendar of these student enrichment activities planned for
the year 2023 is enclosed as Annexure-A. These enrichment activities not only support
students’ cognitive, social and emotional development but also introduce them to diverse
activities which help them to explore new hobbies and interests. These activities aim at
developing such skills and attitudes among students which prepare them for future challenges.
All the Student Enrichment Activities of the Board for the year 2023 will celebrate and
commemorate 75 years of India’s independence and highlight India’s Presidency of the
G20 (an inter-governmental forum of the world’s major developed and developing
economies).
Action to be taken by Schools
Organize these activities as given in the calendar during the year by integrating them
in the school calendar/regular activities of the school.
Prepare an annual action plan for the effective implementation of these activities.
Ensure the participation of each student in at least two-three activities during the year
as per their interest.
Ensure appointment of Nodal Teacher(s) in the school to plan and conduct these
activities.
Share the information with the concerned stakeholders and encourage them to avail
these opportunities.
Visit the CBSE website www.cbse.nic.in and www.cbseacademic.nic.in for regular
updates on these activities.
School Heads are encouraged to continue all-around participation in these activities by
motivating their students to participate in them for their overall development, and to promptly
report participation details on CBSE ASAR App (Affiliated Schools Activity Report) available
on Playstore for Android phones.
