Color Study

This document provides the objectives and instructions for an art assignment on color studies. Students will choose a landscape theme and paint four versions of it using different color schemes: monochromatic, analogous, complementary, and either color triad or split complementary. They will then arrange the four color studies into a single design. The objectives are to further study color as an element of art and become familiar with mixing colors and identifying color combinations by name. Students will be graded on properly applying the color schemes to their paintings and creatively combining the four studies into a completed design.
