WHO WE ARE
SOGEC – Specialized Oil & Gas Engineering Company is a division of KABBANI CONSTRUCTION GROUP,
a top rated conglomerate in Saudi Arabia.

We are dedicated in the field of Cathodic Protection System for pipelines, plant piping, well casings, tanks,
jetties, steel reinforcing concrete, fire hydrants, etc. SOGEC-CP provides a spectrum of services like site
survey, design, supply of materials, testing and commissioning. It also specializes in A/c Interference &
Mitigation studies, Soil Corrositivity Tests and CIPS/DCVG Survey.

INTRODUCTION
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to AlKhodari for giving us the opportunity to submit our
Commercial Offer for the Cathodic Protection System of the above mentioned project. We are pleased to submit here
with our offer as follows.

SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of work for your submitted inquiry includes only the following services:
-Cathodic Protection System Design.
-Supply of Cathodic Protection Materials.
-Supervision of Installation of Cathodic Protection System.
-Testing & commissioning (including Reports).

The above services will cover the following structures only:


-Internal Surfaces and External Bottoms of 3 Nos. Water Steel Tanks with Diameter 90 Meters and Height
of 17 Meters.

QUOTATION BASIS
Our price is based on the information and documents provided by client at the present time. In case of any
changes to the quantity and / or quality etc., our price will alter accordingly.
-All Tanks are Carbon Steel and FBE coated internally and externally.
-Project area is accessible for tools & equipment.
-There is no electrical contact between any protected steel structures and unprotected steel structures.
-Tanks are electrically isolated from pipelines in the station.
-No effect of Grounding on the CP systems for the steel structures (Tanks).
-The Anode Ribbon Depth under tanks bottom is 0.5 meter.
-Sweet sand resistivity under the tanks is between 20,000 - 60,000 ohm cm.
-Water resistivity inside the tanks is 5,000 ohm cm.
-DC Cables should be directly buried in soil.
-The materials to be used for backfill shall be clean washed sand free from stones or other isolated materials.

-All Transformers & Junction Boxes shall be installed in Non-Hazardous Area.


-HDPE liner shall be provided to isolate the anode grid (with minimum thickness 1 mm) to be installed
Underneath the bottom of the tanks and below the MMO anode grid by 10 Cm.
-AC Power is available at the proposed locations of the C.P. system to be installed.
-During supervision of installation, mobilization and De-mobilization time for SOGEC supervisor shall be
considered as working hours.
-Transformer Rectifiers to be used will be Conventional type, not equipped with Remote Monitoring Unit,
Current interrupter or Phase Control Unit.

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
Tanks External Bottoms:
- The Cathodic protection system for external tanks bottom will be Impressed Current (I.C.C.P) System
consisting of MMO ribbon anodes installed before construction and powered by a dedicated Transformer
Rectifier. The CP system shall be monitored by the installation of reference electrodes under the tanks.

Tank Internal Surfaces:


The Cathodic protection system for the Internal Surfaces will be Impressed Current using Mixed Metal Oxide
Tubular Anodes (MMO) assembled on strings, Each string might have different number of anodes, and
powered by a dedicated Transformer Rectifier.

EXCLUSIONS
Although SOGEC scope of work / supply is set out above and that anything not mentioned is not included, it
is highlighted that the following are specifically excluded and shall be provided by the main contractor:
-Cranes & Scaffoldings if required.
-Any direct installation of any type including Civil works such as (pouring concrete foundation for supports
of test stations and transformer rectifiers, trenching, backfilling, etc.).
-Any mechanical work such as (opening holes for access hatch on tanks roof, etc.).
-Providing the AC power or AC circuit breaker.
-Providing Cable Tray and/or Conduit.
-Providing sand or HDPE liner.
-All third party inspection cost shall be provided by Al-Khodari.
-All accommodation & transportation from and to project site shall be provided by Al-Khodari for SOGEC
C.P supervisors.

COMPLIANCE
All the design, materials, installation, commissioning procedures and quality shall comply with client
specifications and standards that were provided by the client with the project documents.

SOGEC will not liable to guarantee and will not be responsible for the Cathodic Protection installation &
performance if installed without SOGEC direct Supervision.

PRICES
SOGEC price for the above mentioned scope of work will be a follows:
Cathodic Protection System Design S.R. 28,000
Supply of Cathodic Protection Materials S.R. 831,000
Supervision of installation for CP System S.R. 1,875 Per day/CP Supervisor
Testing & Commissioning (including reports) S.R. 12,000

DELIVERY AND SCHEDULE


Cathodic Protection System Design 3 – 4 Weeks
Supply of Cathodic Protection Materials 4 – 6 Weeks after materials approval, except for the
T/Rs That might take up to 16-18 weeks
(Allow partial delivery)
Testing & Commissioning 1 Week
Delivery Ex-Work Dammam KSA (SOGEC warehouse)

P.S. Client is given 2 weeks time allowance to inspect and give release notice for shipping materials, otherwise
they will be utilized to other projects and as a result, the delivery schedule will be altered.

WARRANTY
One year warranty period will be provided after handing over or 18 months after delivery of materials and
equipment whichever comes first.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Quotation Validity 30 Days


Payment Terms 30 % of P.O. value with P.O. Placement
60 % of each service value after completion
100% of supervision of installation value
against progress invoice every 10 working day
10 % balance after submitting commissioning reports
All Payments shall have 30 days credit
