Elevator Shunt Trip Wiring Guide

1. A shunt trip device is required in the elevator machine room if the hoistway and/or machine room is sprinklered. 2. The shunt trip device must be monitored for loss of voltage which will activate an annunciator. 3. The main line disconnect and shunt trip device can be a single unit that functions as both a main line disconnect and shunt trip breaker.
