b. value the importance of preparing of a sauces; and
c. prepare at least one variety of sauce of their choice.

- Who can read the definition of Sauce?- Sauce- a flavoured liquid blend of
ingredients that adds flavour and
enhances the appearance of the food.
Fudge- a soft confection made of
butter, sugar, chocolate.
Sauces are also a great way to highlight
flavour, sauces can give the entire different
appearance, flavour, color and moisture to
the dessert.
A. KINDS AND VARIETIES OF
SAUCES
We have 5 varieties of sauces
1. Rich Sauce
2. Light Sauce
3. Hot Fudge
4. Hot Sauces
5. Cold Sauces.
1.Rich Sauce
(A vivid rich sauce dramatically frames
simple purchased dessert like)
Examples of Rich sauce are the Angel
burger cake, frozen yogurt or fresh fruit
caramel and pizza sauce.
-Is well suited to a simple dessert.
2. Light Sauce
Example: Vanilla sauce
Is suited to a rich dessert.
This sauce is a blend of egg yolks, sugar,
and milk stirred over heat until it thickens
into a light cream
3. Hot Fudge
Is well suited to a rich dessert.
-a hot, thick, chocolate sauce that is usually
served on ice cream. A hot fudge sundae is
ice cream topped with hot fudge and usually
nuts and whipped cream.
4. Hot Sauces
Are made just before they are to be
used.
Hot sauce is a type of condiment,
seasoning, or salsa made from chili peppers
and other ingredients
5. Cold Sauces Are cooked ahead of time, then cooled,
covered and put in the refrigerator.
