Obtaining the qualification as a Petroleum Engineer combined with my work experience
in the last few years has made me set my mind on getting a post graduate studies in
Petroleum Engineering. After working on oil field for the past 5 years as a Pipeline
installation supervisor I believe that a master’s Program in Petroleum Engineering will
enable me to use my entrepreneurial skills and technical knowledge at once. I am
certain that a post graduate program from the University of North Dakota is the right fit
for me. It will suffice in fulfilling my aspirations to spearhead extensive Oil and gas
exploration projects.
After completing high school with exceptional grades in Chemistry, Physics, and
Mathematics, Engineering became my first choice for undergraduate education. I got
admitted to China University of Petroleum (East China). When I first started attending
University for this program, I instantly liked the subjects and decided to give my best to
the course. I realized that I had made the right choice. 4 years of Petroleum engineering
focused on the Oil & Gas Reservoir, Drilling, production and their complexities in a
highly technical environment. I worked on many projects during my undergraduate
course but I would specifically like to mention my summer internship at Shengli Oil field.
While working on this internship, I learned many basics about the reservoir stimulation,
drilling techniques, production, and Safety controls of Well head.
After my graduation I was able to get into an engineering business trainee program as a
sales Executive at KERUI Petroleum Shandong Province China. This experience
allowed me to test my interest in the area of engineering business through actual, real
world petroleum engineering business. I also gained first-hand knowledge of sales and
marketing in oil and gas industry. For the past 5 years I have been working with CPECC
(China petroleum Engineering and Construction Corporation) Abu Dhabi as a Pipeline
Installation supervisor. This Experience taught me a lot about engineering projects and
Manufacturing management skills and techniques. That’s is how I decided to Pursue
post graduate Degree program in Petroleum Engineering at the University of North
Dakota.
I genuinely believe that The University of North Dakota has the curriculum and facilities
that I need to meet my long-term goals and Career commitments. I also believe that my
academic achievements, eagerness to learn, Work Experience and passion make me
the perfect candidate for Petroleum Engineering Post graduate studies program.
