Fabrication

This document discusses the fabrication and assembly flowchart for 11kV cast resin transformers. It outlines the key raw materials needed and manufacturing processes involved, including assembly of the transformer coil and core from imported and local materials. It also notes that while the factory has equipment for assembly and preliminary testing, the most critical testing is usually outsourced to third parties. Additionally, the document estimates return on investment for the additional testing equipment.

Conclusion HHI Power Sdn Bhd has sufficient equipment to manufacture and assemble Hyundai Cast Resin Transformers. However the most critical part that is for Product Testing is usually sent to a third party. That is either Malaysia Transformer Manufacturing of EWT Transformers.

Value Added Services + additional income. Besides testing our own product this equipment that we invest has the potential to conduct testing for other suppliers mainly competitors. With an approximate Cast Resin Transformer demand of 200 units for JKR projects not considering private sector demands. We are optimistic to test an approximate 10 units of Transformers within a month despite testing our own product that is roughly 5 to 6 units of Transformers in a month. Other manufacturers such as i. Malaysia Transformer Manufacturing (MTM) ii. EWT Transformers Sdn Bhd iii. AMSGB Sdn Bhd Currently MTM and EWT are not manufacturing Cast Resin Transformers in which there is a change of system that they have to adapt in order to test the Cast Resin Transformers compared to their manufacturing product line that is the conventional Oil Immersed Transformer. Besides the test requirement is not fully fulfilled since MTM and EWT do not conduct Partial Discharge tests. AM SGB on the other hand would not take up other competitors to conduct Transformer Testing. (kindly refer to http://www.ictjkr.gov.my/emal/modules/mukadepan/detailbarangan.php?id=EE041111)

Among the 7 other brands inside JKR list. HHI Power Sdn Bhd has the potential to provide the Testing Services to: i. ABB Malaysia Sdn Bhd ii. Ablecon Engineering Sdn Bhd iii. GBE Distribution Sdn Bhd iv. SRS Power Engineering Sdn Bhd v. KEntriz Corporation Sdn Bhd To conduct Transformer testing it is necessary to have an experience Technician in which HHI Power Sdn Bhd has vast experience to conduct and operate the testing procedures with over 10 years experience in Transformer Testing.
