frustrating for beginners. This step by step tutorial shows viewers how to effectively
keep their flowers fresh and healthy for as long as possible without sacrifice!
Preparation
Preparation
Steps One through Four detail how to prep the flowers.
1. Grab a glass vase or mason jar and fill with approximately 1-2 inches of room
temperature water.
2. Remove the flower’s packaging, and locate the packet of flower food.
3. Open the flower food and use 1/4th of the packets contents and store the rest.
Proceed to stir until the flower food has completely dissolved.
4. Measure and cuts flowers stems at a diagonal angle.
5. Arrange the bouquet by placing the smallest flowers in the center and the larger
flowers outwards. Then fill any additional spaces with leaves or added greenery
that may have come with the bouquet.
6. Then find a well-lit area to place the bouquet, occasionally turning it so that all
flowers may receive an equal amount of light.
7. After the first 3-5 days empty out the water in the arrangement to replace with
new water and another fourth of the flower food. Repeat this step until out of
flower food.
Tips
The ratio of flower food to water is about 1 packet :1 liter. Dumping it all at once
with a small amount of water is not conducive to the proper intake that the flowers
will consume. Store the package for future use.
Cutting at a diagonal angle allows the flowers to better absorb the water and flower food
you have placed within the container. Whereas just cutting them at a straight horizontal
angle does not afford the flowers much mobility. It is recommended if using a mason jar
and not a tall stalk of flower to cut about ¼ off of the bottom.
Step One:
● Grab a glass vase or a mason jar of your choice.
● Fill with approximately 1-2 inches of room temperature-water.
Step Two:
● Remove packaging of the flowers.
● Place the flowers aside and grab packet of flower food.
Step Three:
● Open and only use ¼ of the packet of flower food. Do NOT use all of the
packet at this time.
● Swirl the flower food in the container until dissolved.

Step Four:
● Measure how tall you would like your flowers to stand outside of the
container and mark that line with a chosen utensil such as a pen or marker.
● Taking this flower and a pair of scissors adjust your hand so that you are
cutting in a diagonal motion and cut.

Arrangement
Steps Five through Seven are tips for designing, presenting, and caring for the bouquet.
Step Five:
● Place the smallest facing the outskirts of the container and the larger flowers
toward the center for optimal space.
● Now use added pieces of greenery in empty spaces among various spots in
the arrangement.
Step Six:
● Find a sunny or well-light area in your home to place the flowers.
● Occasionally rotate the flowers for optimal sun.
Step Seven:
● About 3-5 days later pour out the old water.
● Now refill with the same recommended amount and another fourth of the
flower food.
Repeat this step as many times as needed and watch your flowers prosper for over
two weeks!
