DLL Acceleration

This exemplar science lesson plan outlines the objectives, content, learning resources and procedures for teaching 8th grade students about Newton's Laws of Motion over 1 class period. The lesson will begin with a review of inertia and then students will explore concepts and examples of Newton's Laws through an activity. Formative assessment questions will evaluate students' understanding of the relationships between force, mass and acceleration. If time permits, students may develop a game to illustrate the concepts. The teacher will reflect on students' mastery, the effectiveness of teaching strategies, and share any innovations with other teachers.
