Hiall,
Attached is a general letter for our National ID Kit initiative. | wanted to clear a few things so we can
navigate different budget requests:
| spoke with Kenny Hansmire and because the state of Texas and Utzh are buying these kits in bulk, we
can cut the price in “half” totaling kits K-12 for $789,960. This number is taken from the letter written
to Safety Blitz and the Buffet Foundation which | have attached for reference. ($1,579,920/2 to
support approximately 696,000 Child ID Kits to support 1% through 12° grade students. Kindergarten
was already agreed to have “58,000 kits paid for by the foundation)
You had asked for a few numbers in case K-12 prices were too high, so based off approximate number
of children (found here) and normal kit rate, we have the following:
5-9 years old: 127,600 children*$2.27 per kit= $289,652
5-11 years old: 365,898 children*$2.27 per kit =$830, 588
Vm unsure if we get the “bulk” rate if we choose a smaller group, such as K-5'” grade. I'd also like to
confirm his source of 754,000 Utah children to ensure we are accounting for the right number. 'm
waiting on Kenny to get back to me. Until then, I've provided a letter with the information | have.
