INT.

COLLEGE - DAY

The protagonist enters college, filled with hopes and

ambition. The camera is showing his P.O.V - He walks through
the corridor. People are sitting on the stairs, in the
canteen. He moves forward and opens the door to his right - a
group of students are in a circle, and the person standing in
the middle is influencing them.

KABIR
(enthusiastic)

The guy has sweat all over his face, but the enthusiasm is
top-notch.

Guys! I want everyone to show up at 10

a.m sharp for practice...I won't
tolerate any excuses...

He shuts the door and moves ahead. On his left, people are
carrying the flyer and placing them outside. He checks the
time on his watch, realizes that he's running late, and
rushes to the elevator. The door of the elevator is almost
shutting so he drags himself there, and asks someone to hold
it.

REHAAN
Hey..hey hey..(in a panic) Can you
please hold the door?

INT.COLLEGE, CONFERENCE ROOM - DAY

He enters the room, and witnesses students sitting on a

bench, standing, ranting about how college is overwhelming.

SMEET
(takes a breath)
This is literally getting too much...

AARAV
I swear... Any of this is just not
FAIR.

TANISHA
(standing on the other side)
Areey guys... It is what it is...

The camera moves in a circle, and the face of the protagonist

gets revealed.

REHAAN
Guys!Kya hua?

TANISHA
Arey yaar chord... Just college
things...

He didn't seem satisfied but moved on. There's an O.S sound -

Guys! Audition keliye upar ajao. He looks behind and turns.
Few people go out of the room for the audition. He spots his
friend in the corner and goes to her. And, both of them start
moving out of the room.

REHAAN
Hey bro! What up?

SANIKA
(tries to crack a joke)
My anxiety levels broo..

REHAAN
Lol..chill kar.. Mana shakal nahi
hein.. (giggles) par aj kal toh bina
shakal vale star ban jate hein.. OTT
ka zamana hein bro..

SANIKA
Abe chup kar na..

He smiles as they reach the terrace...

INT. TERRACE - DAY

The terrace is crowded with college students in their own

element. They move towards the end where they meet the rest
of their friends..Everyone greets each other.

AARAV
Hey brooo

REHAAN
Mein tujhe abhi neeche mila yaar..

SANIKA
iska aura hi aisa hein... non
existent..

ROHAN
phirse iske ghatiya jokes shuru
hogaye..

Sanika makes faces, and Rohan keeps a hand on her shoulder

and pat her. A senior comes and informs them.

KABIR
Guys! We'll start in 10..So..all the
best.

Everyone starts dispersing, and Rehaan goes behind to

rehearse a little... He takes out the journal - mumbles his
dialogues, and tries different expressions.

He kept his journal on the table and goes around to check

whether his turn has come yet. The camera now focuses on his
journal - sticky notes instilled his goals, and what he wants
to achieve.

He comes back and starts flipping his journal. he comes

across a page of the 12th board to-do list in the diary and
turns to the next page, labelled as college.

Someone asks for the next person, and he moves towards the
audition. There's still someone waiting, so he chats with his
friends.

REHAAN
Guys... Sara kahan hein...

ROHAN
Patani yaar...

SANIKA
i think she's alerady in naa..

AISHA
haan haann.. Kabir ki junior hi thi
voh school mein.. toh uska toh sort
hogaya..

REHAAN
Nicee... It's that easy to get in..

He seems disappointed, picks up his bag from behind and keeps

his journal back. He steps on stage and signals that he is
ready to audition.

CUT TO :

He is done with his audition and is now walking away from the
stage to his friends. His friends are standing in a circle
and discussing something and a senior joins them.

ROHAN
So..how was it?

REHAAN
It was great, kabse karna that mujhe
and I finally got the chance. I think
my voice was a little low though, but
let's see...

The camera now focuses on the group of friends standing near

them.

DHRUV
So, have y'all come up with a few
names yet?

SANIKA
Twins hue toh Seeta-Geeta, aur galti
se ek hi hua toh Kavya, works for both

DHRUV
Which is precisely why you've been
banned from doing stand up in
college.. Anyways, what's the update
on our upcoming event?

SANIKA
Vo choice hai meri thik hai na, ban
van nahi kar sakta koi mujhe..But yes,
we did have a few names in mind. Yash,
Avani, Namita and umm..

The camera pans to Rehaan, who is anticipating that Sanika

will mention him.

..Rohan.

Rehaan's face drops. He is confused and disappointed.

They'll be perfect to handle the

drama, both event and otherwise. (She
nudges Rohan while saying this)

DHRUV
That's sorted then. We'll have a team
meeting soon. You guys can leave now.

The senior leaves. Yash, Avani, Namita, Rohan and Sanika

leave together while discussing something. Rehaan is left
behind and he is standing alone.

INT. OUTSIDE PRINCIPAL OFFICE - DAY

Rohan and Rehaan are waiting outside the principal office to

get an idea approved, and Kabir is climbing the stairs and
joins them.

ROHAN
Hey.. Ssup Kabir?

KABIR
Hey! Tum log yahan kya kar rahe ho..

ROHAN
Arey voh panel discussion karna tha in
Finance.... Toh bas vohi approve kara
rahe the...

KABIR
Oh ..cool..cool

The principal's office door gets opened, and she sees kabir,
and ask him to come and explain the idea.

PRINCIPAL
Are kabir... au na betaa..

KABIR
Guys! Don't you worry, I'll take care
of it...

Kabir goes inside the room, while both of them are waiting
outside.

ROHAN
Are ab toh sort hain scene...

Arey par apan achese explain kar pate

EXT. OUTSIDE COLLEGE - DAY

Day after the panel discussion. Rehaan is on his way to the

college to celebrate the success of the panel discussion
hosted and organized by him and a few friends.

The camera then focuses on his phone screen which shows a

text typed by him on the group congratulating and thanking
people for their contribution to the event.

The text reads-

"Congratulations guys for making this event a huge success!

Y'all put your best foot forward and now it's time to
celebrate. We have organized an after-party of sorts for you
guys. Please join us for the same in the conference room at 4
pm today.

INT. CONFERENCE ROOM - DAY

Rehaan enters the room and sees everybody congratulating

Rohan, Kabir, and Sanika. Somebody from behind bumps into him
and goes ahead to congratulate Kabir.

All of this hits Rehaan really hard.

TIME SLOWS - Kabir signals everybody to gather around.

Sanika, Rohan and he are standing on the stage while
everybody is trying to go ahead, Rehaan gets lost in the
crowd. And then the scene keeps switching between Rehaan
sinking in the water and the crowd.

Rehaan turns around- TIME WRAPS.

EXT. OUTSIDE COLLEGE - DAY

The camera is covering the backshot of Rehaan sitting at

Marine Drive, and he sighs.

He turns around and notices a guy standing at the balloon

vendor, contemplating if he should buy it when another person
just walks in and buys the balloon. The person who bought the
balloon releases it up in the sky happily and the other
person is left staring at the balloon with disappointment as
if he has missed an opportunity. He slowly turns away. The
camera turns with him and focuses on Rehaan who has been
observing the person and turns away too. The camera now
covers the sunset- TIME LAPSE.

2 months later.

INT. TERRACE - EVENING

The scene starts with somebody introducing Rehaan and calling

him up on stage to deliver the vote of thanks for a fest.

DHRUV
I'd like to call upon the backbone of
Oasis 2022, the one who made this
dream a reality, Rehaan Malhotra and
Sanika Sharma

Rehaan and Sanika walk towards the stage and Rehaan buttons
up his blazer. They reach the stage and Rehaan takes the mic
and the scene switches to him coming out of the water.

REHAAN
Thank you for the generous
introduction. It has truly been an
honour to head Oasis 2022 with the
dream team. It is our hard work that
has made this event a success..

The audience is patiently listening to Rehaan's address.

REHAAN(CONT'D)
...Thank you and congratulations!

He is about to give back the mic when he realises that he

forgot to mention Sanika.

Oh and ofc, Sanika, I couldn't have

done any of this without you! So, a
big thank you to you too!

Sanika awkwardly smiles and leaves the stage.

Scene switches to Rehaan taking a breath after coming out of

the water. It switches back to Rehaan taking a breath on
stage.

Smeet, Aarav, Tanisha, Rohan and Sanika are a part of the

audience. Aarav and Tanisha are talking while everyone else
claps.

AARAV
This is just not fair..

TANISHA
(disappointedly)
It is what it is..

The screen fades halfway through Tanisha's dialogue.
