LRA Petition

Esmeraldo B. Santos filed a petition with the Land Registration Authority to cancel the two-year lien annotation on the title of his property due to lapse of time without any claims being filed. The property is covered by TCT No. 004-2012011406 and the lien was imposed by Section 4 of Rule 74 of the Rules of Court. Mr. Santos asserts that the two-year period for filing claims against the estate of the deceased owner has passed without any claims, so the lien annotation should be canceled. He prays that the LRA cancel the annotation without need for judicial order based on relevant circular.
