ORACLE APEX and PL/SQL DEVELOPER JOB DESCRIPTION
As an Oracle PL/SQL Developer you will be responsible for the day to day development and support
of the Oracle PL/SQL environment and installed products. You will work with the development leads
to develop and support stable and quality Oracle PL/SQL solutions. You will report directly to the
Development Lead.
Moreover, Utilizing Oracle PL/SQL features in developing critical components of the solution,
including but not limited to, security rules, infrastructure, custom adapter implementation, database
interaction and application interfaces. A successful candidate must implement industry best
technical practices.
As an Oracle APEX developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and
maintaining Oracle APEX applications based on industry standards.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain the existing Oracle PL/SQL program units.
• Assist with implementation of new Oracle PL/SQL program units.
• Participate in component and data architecture design, performance tuning of Oracle
PL/SQL environment
• Document Oracle PL/SQL solutions
• Test and update Oracle PL/SQL solutions on new Oracle PL/SQL releases
• Extensive experience in building, designing, maintaining and supporting oracle APEX
solutions
• Using scripting languages (JavaScript is preferable), management tools, content creation and
formatting tools to enrich the produced solutions
• Conferencing with teams to resolve conflicts, prioritize needs and develop content
• Developing and validating test routines and schedule to ensure that test cases mimic
external interfaces and address all browser and devices types as well as consider and solve
compatibility issues.
• Designing and developing mobile friendly applications using Oracle APEX
• Creating consistent and high performance database objects
• Creating and implementing plug-ins
• Creating REST and SOAP web services
• Creating customized advanced reports
Desired Skills:
• Expert skills and knowledge of the Oracle PL/SQL
• Extensive experience in writing advanced PL/SQL program units in a clean and logically
structured code. And professionally structure advanced algorithms
• Mastering database management and performance planning tools
• Data security
• Deep understanding of data correctness, consistency, integrity, security and encryption
(data and code)
• Proactive, client oriented, result oriented, 'can do' mentality
• Able to clearly document the requirements with flow using MS Visio
• Extensive experience in developing high standard APEX solutions
• Solid CSS and HTML skills
• Deep understanding of UI/UX standards
• Solid background in Data Modelling
• Extensive knowledge in web application security (on all levels: Web Server, Database and
Frontend)
• Web servers (Tomcat, WLS) administration skills is advantage
• Fluent in English
• Must be oracle certified professional in application development (OCA + OCP)
Experience:
• 8+ years of experience in delivering Oracle based solutions
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Oracle APEX
Qualification:
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or relevant field
