Skills focused: Reading and Writing

Questions details

1. Reading: A reading Comprehension Text in about 300 words. It can be fiction or non-fiction. The
level should be matching to the students. Mostly, intermediate level but the matter should be
interesting to children. Mark allocated 8
Sub-questions:
a. True/ False, Fill in the blanks. 4 questions 0.5 each
b. Vocabulary related (antonym or synonym or find the words with similar meaning
from the text) 4 questions 0.5 each
c. Put in the events correct order (If a narrative text is there.) 4 questions 0.5 each

Any two types of above

d. Short answer questions. Expected answers are not more than two sentences or 35
words. 1 mark for each 4 questions
2. Writing:
Write an essay or letter based on what is taught in the class. Mark allocated 8
3. Grammar
a. Two transformation questions can be given. (Changing into negative, questions,
passive or active, direct or indirect or join two sentences using correct connective) 2
questions 1 mark for each
b. Fill in the blank questions giving multiple choices to pick. At least three options must
be there for each question. 4 questions 0.5 each
