The following Notification will be published in Tamil Nadu Government
Gazettes
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of ‘the powers conferred by the provisio. to Article 309 of the
Constitution of India, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following
amendment to the Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu Panchayat Development
Engineering Subordinate Service (Section 56 in Volume Ill of the Tamil Nadu
Services Manual, 1970.):~
2. The amendment hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force
with effect on and from 5" August 2014.

AMENDMEN’
In the said Rules, in rule §, for sub-rule (b), the flowing sub-rule shail be
substituted, namely:-
“(b) The direct recruitment to the posts shall be made by calling for
candidates from Employment Exchanges in the District and also by giving
advertisements in atleast two vernacular News Papers having wide circulation
in that district inviting applications for the posts from eligible candidates, as
and when vacancy arises and selection by Selection Committee which shall
follow the presoribed selection procedure issued by Government from, time to
time and the Committee shall be constituted by the. District Collector
concerned”.
