Take Off Briefing
Weather at departure destination and alternate is monitored within our minima…
No MEL or CDL affecting safety and performance of our aircraft OR we have MEL/CDL __
(brief the MEL or CDL).
Push back start up as per atc /abeam stand
Start seq. No2 followed by no1. Any malfunction during start up any of us call for abort we
will abort the engine start by putting engine start lever to cutoff and do abort engine start
nnc.
2 good engine start ..Taxi as per ATC or brief expected taxi.
It will be a bleeds on/off, Flaps 1/5/10/15/25, reduce/full thrust , anti ice on/off , left/right hand
seat departure.
Monitor all engine instruments, call out any malfunctions and abnormal indications. Set
thrust by 60 Knots, call out 80 Knots.Below 80 Knots we shall reject the take-off for any
malfunction.After 80 Knots we shall reject only for Fire/fire warning , Engine Failure,
Predictive Wind Shear, Aircraft Unsafe or Unable to Fly.
Incase of a reject my actions will be to call reject, simultaneously close thrust levers and
disconnect auto-throttle , speed brakes up, reversers. Under 90 knots resort to manual
braking over 90 knots monitor operation of RTO. Your actions .....
FO - My actions is to monitor all your actions, call out any omissions, call out speed breaks
up or not up, thrust reverser engine no 1 or thrust reverser engine no 2 or no reverser, auto
brake disarm, 60 knots. Once the aircraft is in control - I will inform the ATC of our rejected
take-off and tell him our intended course of action,
Captain: thereafter, I will announce on PA 'Cabin Crew to Stations'. Incase evacuation is
needed we shall go through evacuation checklist on the last page of the QRH and do seat
oriented actions - under my command. Thereafter, my position will be in the forward cabin to
assist the crew and passengers with the evacuation.
Any malfunction after V1 , no actions below 400 Feet except silencing warning bell and
landing gear up. 400 Feet identify failure and do memory actions if any. 800 Feet we will
clean up, press level change, set MCT if required and then carry out the non normal
checklist as applicable. we will continue on Runway heading and climb to MSA then ask for
radar vectors to join hold, sort out the problem in the hold and then decide if we want to
continue to destination or ask for radar vectors to come back and land .
ALl going well we expect departure ___ for RWY ___ which states (brief the SID).
Incase of cabin altitude warning horn at or above 10000 Feet we will don oxygen mask, set
regulator to 100 percent, establish crew communication and then carry out the non-normal
checklist for Cabin Altitude Warning Horn/Rapid Depressurisation Non-Normal checklist
followed by emergency descent if required.

OR brief the single engine escape procedure if any OR brief any special procedure that you
would think appropriate after considering the runway layout/orientation, weather and the
topography of the airfield.
