A. Motivation
Before we start our lesson, Let's have a game. Guess the middle sound by putting
the correct medial vowel. Fall in line. Choose and pick the yellow box if it is letter
A Green box for letter E. Pink box for letter I..Blue box for letter O and orange
box for letter U.

B. Probe and Respond


Lets read and study the table below;

Look at the table above. As you can see,our lesson for today is about "Different
words with different medial vowels".
The words above shows that the begining and ending letter are the same but
different in medial sound.
Example in first row: bag-big-bug

Bag - is a lightweight container that carries things.

Big - means huge.

Bug - a small insect

Example (row 2) cap-cop-cup


cap - is a form of headgear ot it's a head covering.

cop - is a police officer.

cup - is a container with handle used for drinking coffee.

Look at the words in row 2. It seems that they have the same pronounciation but its
not. Be careful of sounding of the medial sound.
These words have different meanings.

Example (row 3) fan-fin-fun

Fan - a flat object that you hold in your hand and wave it in order to move the air

and make yourself feeling cooler.

fin- is a part of a fish that can able to move them.

Fun - defines as enjoyment, amusementor lighthearted pleasure.

Lets try if you understand our lesson:

DIRECTIONS : Match the correct word that describes the picture in Column 1 to
Column 2.

Learning Episode 2:
Modeling
Medial vowels are the vowels found in the middle of the word.
We have five vowels, ( a, e, i, o, u )
Each of these vowels has different sounds.

I'm going to give you some words, and I want you to tell me what vowel sound is in the
middle.

1. Car

2. Net

3. Lip

4. Mop

5. Gun

Learning Episode 3:

A. Guided Practice
Now, we will have a psychomotor activity to help us learn different words with different
medial vowels.
So, let's get started! Here are the instructions for the activity:

1. Stand up and position yourselves in a circle.


2. I will say a word with a specific medial vowel.
A - Hands Up
E - Bend your knees
I - Shake your waist
O - Turn around in a circle
U - Touch your toes
