eCL8000 Software upgrade

This software upgrade introduction is applicable to all I05A series instruments.

Tools required for upgrading:

computer, USB flash drive, upgrade adapter (only for board

upgrade).

Upgrade step:

1 . Preparations before upgrading

Decompress the latest version of the software and put it in a USB

flash drive. Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port of the

instrument.

Note: The instrument does not have anti-virus software. Any equipment

with virus is strictly prohibited to use on the instrument.

1.1 Parameter record

Before we update the software, have to record thoses parameters (include

the parameter of 3D Arm, of 2D Arm, of the temperature compensation),

so that the reference can be recalibrated after the upgrade.

1.1.1 In the interface [Aplication], then Click [Advanced], and login.

1.1.2 After login Advanced, click [HD Adjust]

1.1.3 In the interface [HD Adjust], we have to record the information of

[MPU1] , [MPU2] and the temperature compensation data in [Other]

interface

Firstly click [MPU1], then click [Check],

and take a photo of these parameters
Then click [MP2] , in the interface MPU2, click [Check]

Take a photo to record these parameters.

Then Click [Others],

And there are 4 choose of temperature. And should click each one, and

record the temperature compensation.

1.2 Project file export

Before exporting the project file, quit the software and insert the U disk.

① About quit the software, in the upper left corner of the software and

click

Then click [Exit].

② At the back of the machine, there are several connectors of USB, and

insert the U disk .

③ Find the operating software shortcut on the desktop, right-click

after selecting it, click "Properties", "Open File Location", and find the

[items] folder in this folder.

③ Copy and save the 【items】folder into U disk or other folder.

Attention: You must exit the software when importing / exporting the

project file.

2. COP Upgrade

The installation of the lower computer program mainly update the COP

board

2.1 Open the mcuisp (the software is in the folder 【Lifotronic】on

desktop) and confirm that the serial port number is COM2, the baud rate

is 115200, and choose "Check", "Execute after programming" and

"Reinstall software before programming" check boxes, as shown below.

choose "Verify",
"Run after ISP complete"
"Auto Reload before Program"

4.2 COP board bootloader download: Under the mcuisp download tool

software interface，at this time, open the left cover (near these switches)

press and hold the ISP button on the COP board → press and hold the

REST button→ release the REST button (the ISP button is still pressed)

→ release the ISP button, and the board enters the software upgrade

mode.

Choose【COP XXXX.hex】(The document Update which was sent by our

engineer include this program ), click "Start ISP" to start the program

download, waiting for completion means that the program download is

complete.

When the software shows the below information, means the COP Update

is successful, And on the COP Board, click REST again.

3 MPU Upgrade

When upgrade the MPU, must exit the software.

3.1. Open the folder【Lifotronic】on desktop，Find【IAP downloader】

document, open the application【IAP downloader】

open the folder 【IAP】

Find the software【IAP

downloader】,and open it

At the top of the application, click [Setting] > [COP Setting] ;

At the interface Com-Setting, click [Traverse], and this application shows

Serial no. and Baud rate. Have to take a photo at this interface, Set the

same serial port number and Baud rate.

3.2. MPU1 Program download：Click button, choose【MPU1

XXXXXXX.Pbin 】 (The document Update which was sent by our

engineer include these) program，and then click “download”.

Have to check :

the serial port number: COM2，

Baud rate: 38400；

If the application shows [The current version with the existing [MPU1]

whether to download again?], Please click [YES].

The program enters the downloading state. When the download progress

shows 100%, the downloading of the program is completed.

3.3. MPU2 Program download：Click button, choose【MPU2

XXXXXXX. Pbin】 program, and then click “download”. The program

enters the downloading state. When the download progress shows 100%,

the downloading of the program is completed.

3.4. MPU3 Program download：Click button, choose

【 MPU3XXXXX.Pbin】 program, and then click “download”. The
program enters the downloading state. When the download progress

shows 100%, the downloading of the program is completed.

4 Software Upgrade

4.1 Uninstall old PC software

Click "Start" in the lower left corner of the desktop, search [Uninstall a

program]; then open "Uninstall a program" in "Control Panel", and

uninstall the computer software.

4.2 New PC software installation

① Open the folder, double click【System software.exe】(The document

Update which was sent by our engineer include this program ), start the

installation program:
② Do not change any parameter, Select “Run eCL8000 V00.XXX ”, just

click “Finish” to finish the installation, and run the software

③ After the software runs, it will enter the startup interface, and the

installation is complete.

5. After Upgrade

5.1 Item File Update (Only for version with Item File Update)

Copy all of the item files (not the whole folder) found in the [items]

folder in the Software Upgrade zip file,

Copy all the files which

included in the folder Update

then Find the eCL8000 icon on Desktop, right click it with your mouse,

then choose [Properties], then choose [Open File Location] in the window

pop up. In the folder [eCL8000], open the [items] folder, and paste and

replace the item files from the Upgrade zip file.

5.2 Delete ItemRunConfig.dat

Find the eCL8000 icon on Desktop, right click it with your mouse, then

choose [Properties], then choose [Open File Location] in the window pop

up. At the folder [eCL8000] > [data]; delete the document

[ItemRunConfig.dat]
5.3 Then delete those files changed

Open the [items] folder in the Software Upgrade zip file, take a photo to

record these updated item file.

Find the eCL8000 icon on Desktop, right click it with your mouse, then

choose [Properties], then choose [Open File Location] in the window pop

up. Open the folder [eCL8000] > [itemSetConfig]

In the [itemSetConfig] interface, delete all the .dat files corresponding to

the items listed in the photo taken.

5.4 Software version confirmation

Open the software and check whether the software versions are the same

as those in the USB flash drive in Application-About.

5.4 Parameter confirmation

After the software upgrade, re-confirm the position parameters and

temperature compensation of the instrument hardware in the system

statement. And they are in the interface [HD Adjust], check these

parameters what have recorded at the step 1.

5.5 Confirmation of other states of the instrument

Check whether all parts of the instrument are normal in the instrument

status.
5.6 Check the sample testing process

Perform at least 5 sample tests (any item), to confirm the status of the

analyzer after the upgrade.
