               What I Need to Know
Arts and crafts are important means of
                                        expression, which communicate views, ideas,
and feelings through the use of skills and
imaginations. These are important parts of our
daily lives and can be found everywhere.
In this Quarter, you will partake in a
journey to the ARTS AND CRAFTS OF

          What’s More
Our arts and crafts do not only exist with no purpose. Each art and craft can be
classified accordingly. Body ornamentation, using body ornaments involve
decorating the body by wearing specific clothing, jewelry or even permanent paint like
tattoo. On the other hand, functional art refers to beautiful objects crafted with
utilitarian purposes. It serves specific function, while being designed artistically for the
purpose of displaying beauty. Meanwhile, architectural art is the technique of
designing and building beautiful structures which may later be considered an important
landmark in places. Lastly, seasonal art are crafts created specifically for a certain
occasion, season or festivity. They usually are symbols of these occasions.
Task 2: Identify the characteristics of arts and crafts from Northern and Central Luzon.
