Description 1 Introduction

1 Introduction

The pRRU processes RF signals. It provides the following functions:


 Modulates baseband signals to a transmit frequency band, filters and amplifies these
signals, and sends them to the antenna for transmission.
 Receives RF signals from antennas, filters and amplifies these signals, down-converts
the signals, converts them to digital signals, and sends them to the BBU for processing.
 Transmits CPRI data over Ethernet cables or optical fibers.
 Uses internal antennas.
 Supports PoE and DC power supply.
 Supports flexible configuration for multi-mode multi-band operation.

Used for anti-theft of the pRRU5921. Anti-theft locks are
not delivered and must be prepared by customers if
required.
Used for preventing device disassembly

In PoE power supply mode, the pRRU5921 can only be connected to an electrical RHUB, and
the CPRI RX/TX port cannot be connected to an optical module. In DC power supply mode,
the pRRU5921 can only be connected to an optical RHUB, and the ETH CPRI_E1 and DC
CPRI_E0 ports cannot be connected to an electrical RHUB.

 UMTS receiver sensitivity is measured at the antenna connector, as recommended in 3GPP TS


25.104, on the condition that the channel rate is 12.2 kbit/s and the BER does not exceed 0.001.
 LTE FDD receiver sensitivity is measured, as recommended in 3GPP TS 36.104, under a 5 MHz
bandwidth based on the FRC A1-3 in Annex A.1 (QPSK, R = 1/3, 25 RBs) standard.
 LTE TDD receiver sensitivity is measured, as recommended in 3GPP TS 36.104, under a 5 MHz
bandwidth based on the FRC A1-3 in Annex A.1 (QPSK, R = 1/3, 25 RBs) standard.
 In GSM (RF input) networking, the GSM mode does not involve receiver sensitivity.
