provided with images and words that come into mind.
Describe the Card
A young man stands in a chariot that is gray, like
stone. The sky and the wheels are yellow like gold. In
the background is a city with a protective wall
around it. Outside the wall is a lush green forest.
Paste Card image here Then we have a river or moat. These are all behind
the Charioteer. The young man looks like a prince on
his way to battle. He wears a crown with an 8
pointed star and a victory wreath as well. His clothing
is very thick armor which shows he is prepared for
battle. On his shoulders are crescent moons with
faces. One face frowns and the other smiles. The
Charioteer is covered by a canopy of stars. He looks
focused, calm and confident. Look how his hands are
totally relaxed. He holds a wand like the Magician,
but does not hold it up, he holds it rather passively.
There is a box over his heart. Perhaps he does not
feel much.

The front of the Chariot is decorated with wings and
a kind of shield with a top on it. In Sandra A
Thomson’s book, Pictures From the Heart, she calls
this shield the lingam - yoni shield and says it refers
to the combining of
opposites. This is also represented by the black and
white sphinxes.
