SLING

A fully autonomous, computerized, mounted mortar system


with the dimensions and weight of a small carrier vehicle, the
SLING is adaptable to a wide range of high mobility platforms.
The rapidly deployed 120mm mortar system enables quick
response and enhanced survivability, in and out of action within
30 - 60 seconds, with shoot & scoot capabilities. SLING is easily
operated by a 2 - 4 person crew.

Highly effective firepower


SLING features an accurate automatic laying system and
allows a fring azimuth of 220° (±110), with an onboard
fre control system that delivers INS precision better than
1 mil. The mortar system is ground deployed in fring
position; fring recoil forces are transmitted to the ground
to prevent transmission to the vehicle.
SLING delivers massive frepower at 16 bombs per minute,
with a sustained rate of 3 - 4 bombs per minute and a fring
range of up to 7km (with standard ammunition – M933
or equivalent). The mortar system is suitable for use with
all types of qualifed 120mm smoothbore ammunition.
