                                    INTRODUCTION
There are many professions which man has adopted according to his knowledge and
ability. A person can adopt any profession depends upon his aptitudes and capability. All
profession is important for human development but teaching is the profession which can lead
people to its stairways of success. Teaching is a noble profession because teachers must go
beyond to the fullest of having a great effort to deliver a good quality of education to educate
their students.
Teaching as profession requires a great motivation and moral strength, it aims at
enlightening and contentment of mind in men broadens and illuminates the corners of human
hearts and mind. Through the guidance of teacher, man drinks from the sources of truth, beauty
and goodness and tries to incorporate them in the life. Let me say that the teaching is the
profession which shows man the road which leads him to God as the teacher touches not only the
mind of the learners but also their heart. If we have the jar of heart to teach , a mission and vision
in life to share our knowledge to our students then it’s our vocation not just a job to earn salary
but also to reap a good fruit through students who gain knowledge and discover their own
capabilities from our guidance.
Educators are like a gardener who cultivate and mold a student to be a great individual
with a good heart and a broad knowledge of what an education really means to the world and
society. As a gardener, I am held responsible for my garden. I have to make sure that my plants
are healthy and rich in nutrients from the sunlight they get through. I will make sure that they
have learned and get a good quality of education as a gardener wants his plants to grow with
quality.
“Teachers who inspire know that teaching is like cultivating a garden. Those who would
have nothing to do with thorns must never attempt to gather flower” - Unknown author
What is practice teaching?
The practical implementation of the information and strategies that students have learned
in Holy Cross College is what we know as practice teaching. In and outside of school classrooms
the student teachers practice what they have learned and are supervised by teachers from the
college, cooperating teachers, and school principals. Practice Teaching is a crucial part of every
student teacher’s life during college. Student teachers or pre-service teachers are college students
teaching under the supervision of a certified teacher in order to qualify for a degree in education.
These certified teachers are called cooperating teachers and the school where this teacher is
working is called the cooperating school. Why do we have to undergo Practice Teaching? The
Purpose of Practice Teaching is to provide qualified teachers that are prepared and trained by
following one of the practical educational theories in one of the three levels: Elementary,
Intermediate, High School. In my case then it is Secondary level. Another reason is to prepare
student teachers for their career as teachers by incorporating them completely into the school
atmosphere so that they feel as if they are part of the school. Next is to think and meditate on the
practical reality of teaching.
A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SCHOOL
History of my Cooperating School
San Pablo City National High School Annex V was established in 1996, under the San
Pablo City National High School Main.  With the help of the City Council under the leadership
of our City Mayor Hon. Vicente B. Amante, Hon. Lauro Vidal – Vice Mayor, City Counselors
Pablo Ticzon, Eduardo U. Dizon, Schools Division Superintendent, OIC, Dr. Miralinda B.
Ocampo, and Principal of San Pablo City National High School Main, Mr. Ricardo T. Manalo
began developing SPCNHS Annex V.
The school’s land is the family gift of the late Don Tomas D. Dizon, of his former mayor,
Cesar Dizon and its heirs. It started with about 2000 students and 37 teachers.  Despite the lack
of classrooms, all subjects were taught.  Due to the increasing number of students, Mr. Ricardo
T. Manalo called for Teachers-in-Charge (TIC) from Mrs. Julieta Donato, Mrs. Marilou
Bicomong, Mrs. Elsa L. Ilagan, Mr. Ely Flores and Mrs. Neliza P. Cuasay.  The resolution was
passed by the City Council, and SPCNHS Annex V became Col. Lauro D. Dizon Memorial
National High School (CLDDMNHS) in 2005 under Mrs. Evelyn C. Malabag (2004-2011). Mrs.
Cristeta S. Uy assumed the responsibility of the school from 2011 – 2016 and was followed by
Mr.  Albert T. Saul from 2016- 2017.  Mr. Patrick L. Ilagan became the next school head at the
same time creating a name and brand in society in its new name, Col. Lauro D. Dizon Memorial
Integrated High School (CLDDMIHS) 2015-2023. At present, the school was headed by the
dynamic Mrs. Lina M. Laguras.

                                    THE DEPLOYMENT
February 13, 2023
The first day I entered Dizon High was the day I realized that teaching is my passion. I
was stunned by the beauty of my cooperating school. At exactly 7:00 am, I was waiting for Doc.
Elmer Escala our supervisor and professor in practice teaching. He assisted me to the faculty of
SPC pre-service teacher. He was nice and approachable that time and made clear everything I
need to know about the school rules and policies.
Meeting the principal
I met the principal when I was deployed by Doc. Elmer. Mrs. Lina Laguras pointed out
everything I need to know about teaching and approaching all the teaching staffs. She gave me
an advice for me to become an efficient educator. I will treasure all the good lessons I have
learned from my cooperating principal.
Meeting my cooperating teacher and cooperating class
Mrs. Mildred Rea D. Joven was my cooperating teacher; she’s nice and very hands on
when it comes to my daily teaching journey. My mentor started to introduce me in the class.
After she introduced me, she continued the lesson. I felt so nervous that time. Nothing comes out
in my mind but I can do this. I told myself that this is it. I started observing my mentor. I
observed the way she talked to the students, the way she delivered the questions and obviously I
was surprised because all things that I’ve learned in school were really applied. I started listening
with the lesson she were discussing. Time I started to observe Ma’am Rea was the time I started
to tell myself that being a teacher is easy. Also, handling students is very easy. She advised me
that, the difficult part in teaching is to let the student imagine what your lesson all about is.
I met all my cooperating class in one day and I was happy because all of them are well
oriented and disciplined. I had a feeling that my days here would be great and I wasn’t wrong
about that because they love me as their teacher and as a friend. I dedicate this journey to Grade
8 Nympha, Orion, Janus, Kyrene, Leda, and Maia because they helped me to improve my
teaching strategies every day.
Pre- Teaching Demonstration
May 02, 2023- after 2 months I was scheduled to present my pre- teaching demonstration
last May 02, 2023. I chose grade 8- Kyrene to be my student in my demonstration because it was
the best schedule for me. Prevention and Control: Communicable Diseases was the topic of the
lesson in my demonstration. I have prepared for almost 2 weeks to master the execution of the
lesson. It was the first time to teach in front of Doc. Elmer and Sir Carlo, I told myself that I will
do my best not only to teach but also to learn. During my pre-demo, I have learned the flow and
process of the actual teaching.
  I. OBJECTIVE

Origin of Covid-19
Being a betacoronavirus like MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV,
SARS-CoV-2 also has its origin in bats. An initial find suggested
an animal-to-person transmission of the virus, however, the
current spread owes to person-to-person transmission.

Final Teaching Demonstration
May 30, 2023- After my pre-demo, I started to prepare for my final demonstration. I was
happy with the comments and suggestions given by the panelists. Pre-demo served as guide for
me to do better in final demonstration. I used the same section which is grade 8 Kyrene and I was
ecstatic that time because they are willing to help me to overcome the most challenging part
being a practice teacher.
My mentor and I worked hard for my final demonstration. I gave my all for the best
outcome. During my final demo I never felt nervous because I know what I am doing and I know
that God was with me until now.
I saw the happiness in the eyes of my students when we were doing the activities I
prepared for them. During my discussion, my students are active and I felt their eagerness to
learn and to participate. The boards of panels were also happy for what I showed in my final
demo.
My mother and my sister also supported me during my final demo. They watched me and
they were very proud of me. Even my father watched me through facebook live channeled by my
sister. For me, the best support that I got was from my family because they are not only
supporting me through financial but also through moral and that’s good enough for me.
I was ecstatic with the comments and suggestions given by the board of panels, they were
very honest and transparent for giving comments. They were pure and reliable when it comes to
mentoring me on how can I make my every day teaching great and active.
We went to MAPEH department and all the teaching staffs were happy and proud. I am
so thankful and grateful that I had the opportunity to work with those professional teachers. I will
always remember the tips they gave for me to become an inspiring educator someday.
Am I really ready to teach?
The common litany that runs if we talk about teaching is that “it is the noblest of all
professions”. Nothing is more profound profession than teaching for teachers invest their own
time, energy and in the long run, invest their own lives just to touch the lives of others as they
often say “My Teacher, My Hero”. How great is the feeling to be called hero. But then again, I
always go back to the question, am I really prepared to teach? I do believe that three years of
preparation is enough. I have gained a repertoire of healthy knowledge, receptacle of good values
and storehouse of useful skills. A truly prepared teacher is someone who can make a difference
in child’s life to ignite curiosity and growth of their students. It is the most rewarding part of
teaching. But as much as teaching can be rewarding, it can also be frustrating and stressful when
dealing with unmotivated students, large classes and heavy workloads. Most frustrating one,
teachers will sometimes have to deal with unruly behavior and violence from students. These are
all part of teaching. Teaching is not simply “teaching”. You must ensure that your students are
really learning from you, how they assimilate the knowledge, imbibe the values and foster the
skills, must be monitor by you. You can only perform all these if you exhibit a sense of
preparedness in teaching. Going back again to the question, am I really prepared to teach? I can
say “Yes I am”. This is through the help of the people behind me especially my cooperating
teachers who continuously motivating me to strive, to do my best, to make the most out of it in
teaching. Although, I still have something to learn in the field of teaching. Preparedness and
readiness are key factors to make teaching meaningful and colorful. This will lead to a better
development of the students and the teacher as well.
