A WET AFTERNOON

It was cloudy that afternoon. It looked like it would rain. Tonio and Lucio were walking
home. They had visited their grandmother who lived on the other side of the ricefield.

“Let’s walk fast, Tonio,” Lucio told his brother. “We might be caught in the rain. Mother
would be waiting for us.”

“It’s beginning to rain!” Tonio said as he ran under a tree to take shelter. Lucio followed him.

Soon the rain stooped and they went on walking. They were already home when it rained
again.
