The increased popularity of sports led to the more coverage of sports


content. Sports journalism is a form of writing and reporting on
matters pertaining to sporting topics and competitions. Sports
journalism started in the early 1800s as an integral part of the news
business with newspapers having dedicated sports sections. The
appetite for sports resulted in sports-only media such as Sports
Illustrated (American Magazine) and ESPN (American Channel), DD
Sports, Star Sports, Sony Sports Network, Sports 18 and many more.
The other forms of Sports Journalism are: Game Recaps, Game
analysis, investigative journalism of important development in Sport.
