ISO EasySet
Weatherford’s ISO EasySet Setting Tool is an Alkaline battery-operated, timer-based
device that enables downhole tools to be set without the use of explosives. The ISO
EasySet displaces conventional gas-generating setting tools that rely on explosives as
a means of generating the required force. The ISO EasySet Tool eliminates the
hazards associated with the handling and storing of explosives.

ISO EasySet is run on slickline, electric line or coiled tubing and the operator can
select various timer settings depending on the depth at which the tools are to be
deployed. Once the time has elapsed the setting tool will begin to initiate. If e-line is
used, the setting tool can be activated from surface without the need to wait the
internal on timer. Pressure testing of the lubricator does not affect the timer. If the
tools are recovered into the lubricator, the timer is simply disabled by removing the
electronics module. The ISO EasySet Setting Tool can be easily converted between
slickline and e-line deployment.

• The ISO EasySet contains no explosives, avoiding the issues and costs
commonly associated with the handling, storing, importing and exporting of such
materials.
• Options for both e-line and alkaline batteries eliminating the risk of the batteries
venting during jarring.
• Can be run on e-line, slickline, e-slickline or coil tubing.
• Prior to running a simple function test can be conducted on the surface to verify
functionally via a laptop or dedicated computer.
• No configuration required, only has one setting which fully stokes the length of
the ball screw.
• No hydraulics eliminating the associate problems such as oil contamination,
temperature effects and compressibility.
• Simple reset at surface to reduce time between runs.
• The tool provides confirmation of correct setting, either instantly with E-Line or
on surface with Slick-Line, ensuring operational efficiency.
• Unlike explosive or lithium tools, the ISO EasySet does not produce any noxious
gasses that redress personnel can be exposed to, enhancing a safer working
environment.
