Measurement Capability
By using Hall Effect Sensors combined with small permanent
Magnets, PE can measure:
• Features which are in the range of 0 – 20mm
• HR Caliper measuring from 1 – 60mm deflection

• Wax (hard and soft)
• Scales
• Sand / Sand in wax
• Black Powder (limitations)
PE Would not recommend this type of tool to detect hydrates, as the
risk of blockage is too great

Stand off: Offset sensors will be able
to detect black powder is present.
Signal: Small offset differences in
voltage signal.
Pick Up: Small quantities stick to the
magnets but once magnetised the
mutual repulsion prevents further
pick up.
