ICT gives us 2 Price Action models around which to form trades:

MMSM: Marker Maker Sell Model

MMBM: Marker Maker Buy Model


The above models are in their most basic form and ICT has introduced a few derivatives of this model since then; but the logic remains the same. Below are some of the derivatives of the MMXM:

The ever so twitter-popularized ICT Power of 3 is essentially a derivative of the MMXM.

My interpretation of the MMXM
I have a very simplistic interpretation of the MMXM.
LotusXBT Trading Model
1. HTF Draw on Liquidity is taken
- Buy/Sell Side Liquidity
- Fair Value Gap

2. LTF Entry:
- MMXM
- Stop Hunt + MSB + Return to Fair Value Gap

3. Potential TP targets:
- Buy/Sell side Liquidity resting above/below consolidation points along the MMXM curve
- HTF Fair Value Gaps

4. My interpretation of the MMXM. Price moves from:

Consolidation -> Expansion -> HTF POI Sweep -> Smart Money Reversal (SMR) -> Return to the original consolidation

5. LTF Entries: Enter shorts in premium of price leg that broke market structure. Enter longs in discount of price leg that broke market structure.

6. Directional Bias is determined by the next Draw on Liquidity

7. A Smart Money Reversal (SMR) can occur in 2 ways;


● Liquidity Raid (Turtle Soup)
● Failure Swing
8. Entry Technique:
Stop Hunt + SMR + Market Structure Break + Return to FVG

Directional Bias & Trading Framework
How i determine Directional Bias
The Draw on Liquidity (DOL) will be either:
1. An Liquidity Pool: Buy/Sell Side Liquidity
2. An Imbalance
Directional Bias will be to take trades in the direction of the DOL.
