TITLE: MEDIUMS IN VARIOUS FORMS OF ART
OVERVIEW: Art is a wonderful genre for many people to unleash their potential artistic skill most
especially their creativity. As they say, art is man-made. Hence, it will not exist without
the use of various materials and various techniques used in order to accomplish an
excellent kind of artwork. For this module, it will center our minds on the different
materials used by artist and technical skills in art.
LEARNING At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
OBJECTIVES A. Identify mediums in various forms of art;
B. Define an artist and artisans mediums and techniques;
C. Differentiate between artist and artisan’s work of art.

Discussion/Lesson Proper:
For this topic, the hand out or outline is already forwarded to the students via their Group Chat (GCs)
account. Hence, the students will go over the topics and will answer the given activities to them.

TITLE: GAWAD SA MANLILIKHA NG BAYAN (GAMABA)
OVERVIEW: The National Living Treasures Award (Gawad sa Manlilikha ng Bayan) was
institutionalized in 1992 through Republic Act No. 7355. The National Commission for
Culture and the Arts (NCCA), which is the highest policy-making and coordinating body
of the Philippines for culture and the arts, was tasked for the implementation. This is in
line with UNESCO’s criteria of Living National Treasures.
LEARNING At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
OBJECTIVES A. Identify the national GAMABA artists;
B. Shows appreciation to the national artist’ contribution to society.

ACTIVITY #2:
“CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION MAKING”

Direction: Select one (1) of the GAMABA members/awardees and create/construct a certificate of recognition
to him or her as an appreciation in preserving and revitalizing our culture and arts in the Philippines. Explain
why you chose her/him in giving the certificate of recognition. Put in separate bond paper your explanation.

Note: Pagandahan ng design at lay out ng certificate. It’s time to use and unleash your creativity through this
activity.

TITLE: THE ELEMENTS OF ART
OVERVIEW: The artist utilizes the mediums and puts together element to create work of art. The
medium is the physical means through which he can come up with a work of art, and the
elements of art can be achieved through the use of particular medium. The elements of
visual arts are lines, color, texture, perspective, space, form, volume, light and shadow.
LEARNING At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
OBJECTIVES A. Analyze the various elements present in visual art;
B. Construct a poem pertaining to the different elements of visual arts.

For this topic, the hand out or outline is already forwarded to the students via their Group Chat (GCs)
account. Hence, the students will go over the topics and will answer the given activities to them.

ACTIVITY #3:

“POEM MAKING ACTIVITY”

Direction: Construct or write a poem that consist of 6 stanzas with four (4) lines in each stanzas. The content
should focus on how we can use art as a means to maintain peace and order in our country or how we can use
art to promote and preserve our culture and arts in the Philippines.

Note: It can be hand written or encoded. It can be in Filipino or English language. Put it in a short bond paper.

TITLE: PRINCIPLES OF ART AND DESIGN
OVERVIEW: The principles of art and design are the foundation in creating an art. They represent how
the artist, the elements of art to create a better effect as well as to help the artist to
convey his intents. The elements of art are parts of the whole while perceptions of art
design are rules of guide to help one put these elements together.
LEARNING At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
OBJECTIVES A. Identify principles of design;
B. Define and translate principles of design in an artwork;
C. Select one Filipino artist and his artwork that uses any of the principles of art and
design.

Discussion/Lesson Proper:
For this topic, the hand out or outline is already forwarded to the students via their Group Chat (GCs)
account. Hence, the students will go over the topics and will answer the given activities to them.

ACTIVITY #4:

Direction: Select one (1) Filipino artist and his/her famous artwork. Put his/her picture and his/her artwork in a
separate bond paper. Give a little background to the life of the artist when he/she was still alive and the
importance or significance of his/her artwork in the society.

Note: You can cut pictures from old magazines or books if the internet is not possible for you to surf. Drawing
or hand written is allowed.
