Significance of the Study
This study focuses on the comparative analysis between online sellers using TikTok and Shopee
as selling platform, specifically their sales performance. In the result of this study, future
entrepreneurs, can weigh the options on what traits makes an online selling platform more
profitable that wins the approval or preferences of the mass.
This research gives importance to the following beneficiaries:
Online seller - As an online seller who is looking for an effective selling platform this will aid
them to more convenient use of advertising, promoting and even helping them to grow and be in
a line of competitiveness.
Business Enterprises - This will help enterprises to start using the peak selling platform for their
organization as almost businesses nowadays are using different kind of platform to promote and
to advertise services and products.
Aspiring businessman/women - This may serve as a guide to them as they put up a business and
give them a head start about the selling platform that can help them to grow their business, it will
help them to adapt easily in the market and have competitive advantage.
Business owner - This can help business owners to accumulate their business on the top, since
every business needs an effective selling platform, it will serve as a great tool to build and grow in
the long run and be one of the most competitive business owners in the industry.
Buyers - This will give awareness to consumers/buyers about which is a more convenient platform
suited for them. And what is the enjoyable platform to place order while scrolling and looking for
the "luxury item".
Scope and Limitations of the Study
This study will be conducted in Cavite province. The researchers chose 10 TikTok sellers and 10
Shopee sellers with a total of 20 selected sellers in Cavite as the respondents, for balance analysis
of the results and because the area is within the vicinity of the researchers’ location. The study
focuses on the Comparative Analysis of sales performance between online sellers using TikTok
and Shopee. The researchers will prioritize getting information by conducting a survey using a
questionnaire.
