Market Analysis of Ice Candy
Starting a business selling homemade candies is regarded as
entertaining. When it is being made, you appreciate seeing your talent on
display, and when it is being consumed, you enjoy seeing people's smiling
expressions. If you can manufacture good sweets, you are sitting on a gold mine.
It is a well-known trend that ice candy shops are not typically found in
areas with a high concentration of elderly people. It's become fashionable to
locate your ice candy shop in an area with a lot of kids. Ice candy store I know
almost locate their ice candy shop near any gathering of children, including
schools, estates, parks, and churches. Even selling on their houses, ice candy
makes our summer fresh and chill, the taste of childhood up to adulthood and the
sweetness makes it addicting, but in a good way of course.
All people are largely included in the target market. I’ve seen different
stores on our neighborhood selling ice candies. It comes with different flavors,
but mostly fruits. Chocolate, mango graham, chili, avocado, pure mango,
pistachio and many more. Those mention are my favorites and my goes to desert
whenever I feel like it. Although a lot on this classification has competed with this
type of product, some people actually prefer ice candy. What makes ice candy
more likely is its handiness, the cheapness and the sweetness. Although the
price range of this product is 10-20 pesos, the taste is so much better than some
products on the market. Some product competition is ice creams, ice scramble,
and anything with ice and is sweet. Ice candy is a must have especially on
summer season. But on my own experience, ice candy is best whatever season
it may be. Rainy or sunny it is a thumbs up for me.
I interviewed someone I know who frequently buy their deserts at home on
a local ice candy shop owned by one of my friends. I asked him what makes him
buy ice candy instead of the famous big brands of ice cream, or juices or
beverages from companies bigger than the store. His answer is very simple,
“because my children love it, and so are we.”
The sweetness of the ice candy is not very much so to the point that it
makes you stop eating it, it makes you crave for it. This quality makes it
appealing to children and not just children but also adults. All people are largely
included in the target market. School kids, single men and women, households,
adolescents, students, tourists pregnant literally everyone if the target market
because not only it is appealing for children, but also to adults especially the
price range that makes it even more attractive.
The unique tactic used by each owner to brand kiosks and place them in
various spots around their neighborhood that are likely to see high pedestrian
traffic is the main selling factor of ice candy. Most consumers who visit an ice
candy shop will find the kind of ice candies they are seeking for, like chocolate,
mango, vanilla, chili, and so many more. They will want to return and make
additional purchases, and the store enjoys having the same customers return
time and time again.
The fact that an ice candy store is an outlet and does not have the
financial resources to compete with multi-million dollar competitor's stores like
Selecta, Creamline, Aices, Cornetto, and other, as well as supermarket and
grocery store outlets like SM, hypermart, or local grocery store, when it comes to
retailing ice creams at a rock bottom price, is a significant weakness that may
count against an ice candy store.
The confectionery retail business has grown significantly more fiercely
competitive over the past ten years, according to a detailed analysis of the
sector. In fact, if you want to remain in this sector, you need to be very creative,
customer-focused, and proactive. The ice candy store needs to be aware of the
increased competition and ready to outperform other top candy retailers.
